Water, gasoline and electricity- all these are energy that is essential

for our life. To make sure that energy will be left for our descendants

– let’s use it with care. There are some easy measures that you can

do at home or office to preserve energy such as turn off electrical

appliance when you are not using it, take the stairs instead of elevator,

and carpool if you are going in the same direction as your friends.

The Asia Cloud Computing Association เปิดตัว Cloud Readiness Index ที่ใช้เพื่อติดตามความก้าวหน้าของโครงสร้างพื้นฐานและบริการทางด้าน Cloud เพื่อให้รู้ว่ามีอุปสรรคอะไรบ้างที่ทำาให้การนำาระบบ Cloud Computing มาใช้เกิดความติดขัดหรือขับเคลื่อนได้ช้า

ระบบนี้จะใช้ประเมินผลใน 14 ประเทศ ได้แก่ ไทย เวียดนาม มาเลเซีย สิงคโปร์ ฟิลิปปินส์ อินโดนีเซีย จีน ฮ่องกง ไต้หวัน เกาหลี ญี่ปุ่น ออสเตรเลีย นิวซีแลนด์ และอินเดีย โดยคาดว่าจะทำาให้ทุกประเทศเข้าใจถึงประโยชน์ของ Cloud Computing และสามารถสร้างอำานาจในการแข่งขันให้กับประเทศของตนเองได้

มีรายงานข่าวแจ้งถึงการคาดการณ์ทางด้านนี้ โดยคาดว่าในปี ค.ศ.2013 กระแสเงินหมุนเวียนในระบบ Cloud Computing ทั่วโลก จะกินสัดส่วน 30-40% ของงบประมาณทางด้านไอที และในปี ค.ศ.2014 การจับจ่ายใช้สอยในบริการ Cloud จะสูงถึง 150,000 ล้านดอลล่าร์สหรัฐเลยทีเดียว

The Asia Cloud Computing Association launched a Cloud Readiness Index designed to track progress towards cloud computing-based infrastructures and services. This will help identify potential bottlenecks that could slow adoption.

Cloud Readiness Index will be assessed across 14 countries which are China, Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam, aiming that these countries will understand the benefits of cloud computing and can make their countries more competitive.

The news report said that in 2013, the global spending on cloud computing may reach 30-40% of IT budgets. And in 2014, the global spending on cloud services may reach US$150,000.
