Unit 1

• Parts of Speech (ชนดของค า) • Nouns (ค านาม) ใชเรยก (ชอ) คน สตว สงของ ทงทมและไมมรปราง คน: mother, father, woman, man ชอคน: Rayyaa, Justin Bieber, Robert Pattyson

สตว: elephant, horse, cow, dog

ชอสตว: Puggy, Hachi สงของ: book, city, month

ชอสงของ: Phayao, Thailand, January

Unit 1

• Nouns (ค านาม) สามารถแบงไดเปน 2 กลม คอ แบบ Countable (นบได) และ Uncountable (นบไมได)

เกยวกบ Countable มรายละเอยดดงน - ค านามทเปน “คน สตว สถานท สงของ” เปนค านามทนบได - ค านามนบไดเหลานสามารถเขยน “จ านวน” ไวขางหนาได เชน

one man, a bird, two cats

- ค านามนบไดเหลานสามารถอยในรปของ Singular (เอกพจน) และ Plural (พหพจน) ได เชน

a dog (Singular) --- three dogs (Plural

Unit 1 • Plural Markers Rules (กฎการใชพหพจน) - ค านามทลงทายดวย s, ss, sh, ch, x, o, z ตองเตม es เชน bus --- buses หรอ fox --- foxes

- ค านามทลงทายดวย f และ fe ตองเปลยนรปเปน – ves เชน a knife --- two knives หรอ leaf --- leaves

- ค านามทลงทายดวย – ( C )y (C = เสยงพยญชนะ) ตองเปลยนรปเปน – ie เชน a baby --- five babies หรอ a fly --- two flies

• เกยวกบ Uncountable Nouns (ค านามนบไมได) - “ของเหลว วตถดบ นามธรรม” เปนค านามนบไมได - ค านามนบไมไดจะอยในรป “เอกพจน” เทานน จนกวาจะ “บรรจลงภาชนะ” แลว เชน beer --- Two glasses of beer

- หากจะบอกวาค านามนบไมไดนนมมากหรอนอยใหใชค าทเกยวของกบ “ปรมาณ” น าหนาเทานน เชน

much water หรอ little salt

Unit 1 • หนาทของ Nouns (ค านาม) - เปน Subject (เปนประธาน) เชน Doctor Naawin loves Ploy. - เปน Object (กรรม) เชน Pukluk loves children. - เปน Object of preposition (เปนกรรมของบพบท) เชน

Songgraan sent a rose to Taksa-orn.

- เปน Possessive (แสดงความเปนเจาของ) เชน Dan’s shoes are nice. หรอ Glasses’ lens are

important.

- เปน Appositive (สะทอนเขาค านามหรอสรรพนาม) เพอขยายค านามหรอสรรพนาม เชน Bodyslam, the Thai rock band, will perform

in Phayao soon.

Unit 1 Pronoun (ค าสรรพนาม) ใชแทนค านามเพอเลยงการกลาวซ าโดยใช (I, you,we, they,he,she,it) หรอใชแทนค านามทไมทราบวาสงนนคออะไร เชน someone,

something

แทนค าซ า:

Mario Maurer is handsome. He is the

ยงไมทราบวาเปนอะไร:

Unit 1

• หนาทของ Pronoun (ค าสรรพนาม) - เปน Subject (ประธาน) ของประโยค เชน You are smart.

- เปน Object (กรรม) ของประโยค เชน We will suggest her. - เปน Possessive (แสดงความเปนเจาของ) ของประโยค เชน My brother is cleaver. หรอ This watch is mine.

- เปน Reflexive (ยอนหาประธานหรอตนเอง) ของประโยค เชน I will clean this room by myself. หรอ We built that temple by ourselves.

Unit 1 • Greetings (การทกทาย)

- Hello - Good morning

- Good afternoon - Good evening

- How are you? และ How do you do? - I am sorry to hear that. - I hope you feel better soon.

- Good night - I am fine. - I am not well.

Example:

Noi: Good morning, Kane.

Kane: Good morning, Noi. How are you? Noi: I am fine, thank you and you?

Kane: I am not well. I have got a headache.

Noi: I am sorry to hear that. I hope you feel better soon.

Kane: Thank you very much.

Unit 1 • Departing (การจากลา) - Good bye. - Bye. (ใชกบบคคลหรอกลมคนทสนทกน)

- See you later. - See you tomorrow. - Have a good time. - Take care of yourself. - Good luck.

Example:

Pancake: I have to go now. Good bye.

Pay: Good bye and good luck.

Unit 2 Adjectives (ค าคณศพท) ใชอธบายหรอขยาย noun และ pronoun เพอทราบ รายละเอยดมากขน เชน pretty, beautiful, handsome, excellent, famous เชน - This is the excellent project.

- Padcharaaphaa Chaichue is beautiful.

- The soccer players of Manchester United Club are famous.

Adjectives (ค าคณศพท) ใชเปรยบเทยบสงตางๆ เชน - Yao Ming is taller than Michael Jordan.

- The clothes from Europe are more expensive than the clothes from Asia.

Adjectives (ค าคณศพท) ใชบอกสงทเปน “ทสด” เชน - Nidchakun is the best student in this classroom.

Unit 2 • Adverbs (ค าวเศษณ หรอ ค ากรยาวเศษณ) ใชขยาย verb,

adjective, adverb เพอทราบรายละเอยดมากขน เชน - These students study seriously.

- I saw Pagorn Lam there.

- Richard will go to school tomorrow.

- Mr. Panyaa Nirangun is very rich. - That boy learns things really quickly.

- They usually play basketball in the

evening.

Unit 2

• Introducing Oneself (การแนะน าตนเอง) Example:

Louis: Good morning. May I introduce

myself? My name is Louis.

Johnny: Nice to meet you. My name is

Johnny.

Louis: Nice to meet you too.

Unit 3

• Verbs (ค ากรยา) บอกการกระท า (action: verb to do)

บอกความเปนอย (being: be, is, am, are) สภาวะความเปนอย (state of being: seem, look, sound) เชน

- Thongchai McIntyre sings.

- This is a book. - David Beckham looks good.

- He is going to the national park.

Unit 3

• Commanding (การออกค าสง) ไมมประธานและกรรม เชน - Do not be noisy! - Come on! - Watch out! หรอ Look out! • Requesting (การขอรอง) เชน - Could you do me a favour?

- May I go out, please? - Would you mind if I use the telephone? - Please hold on the line.

Unit 4 • Prepositions (ค าบพบท) ใชวางหนา noun หรอ pronoun เพอ

แสดงความเกยวของกบค าอนๆ ในประโยค (in, on, at, under, in front of, behind, between, from, within) เชน

- There are many nice men in Phayao. - She is reading a book at her home. - I must solve this problem within this week.

• Giving Direction (การบอกเสนทาง) เชน - Go straight. - Keep going straight. - Turn left. - Turn right. - At the corner. - The (place) is on the right.

Unit 5 • Conjunctions (ค าสนธาน) ใชเชอม ค า กลมค า หรอประโยคเขาดวยกน เพอให

ความหมายสมบรณขน เชน and, but, therefore, beside, either…or

- Udom Taephaanid is funny and attractive.

- Lady Gaga is amazing, but popular. - He needs to be the winner; therefore, he must be

diligent.

- We will either play volleyball or go shopping.

• Excusing (เปนการขอใหผอนยกโทษใหส าหรบความผดเลกนอยหรอไมตงใจ) เชน

- Excuse me for not recognizing you. • Apologizing (เปนการขอโทษ โดยทผขอเกดความส านกและยอมรบวาท าใหผอน

ล าบากใจ) เชน - I apologized to him for coming late. - I apologized to them for my mistake.

Unit 6 • Articles (ค าน าหนาค านาม) มดงน A, An, The, No Article

• A ใชน าหนาค านามทเปนเอกพจน (ทออกเสยงแรกดวยพยญชนะ) เชน a boy, a uniform, a European man เปนตน • An ใชน าหนาค านามทเปนเอกพจน (ทออกเสยงแรกดวยสระ) เชน an egg, an orange, an honest woman • A / An ใชกบความหมายหนง เชน I have a sister.

• A / An ใชในการบอกหนวยการวด เชน He drove the car at 100 miles an hour.

• A / An ใชน าหนา dozen, hundred, thousand, million, billion

• เชน A hundred zebras are in the field.

• A / An ใชน าหนานามทบอกอาชพ การคา ศาสนา เชน She is a nurse. He is a Christian.

• A / An ใชกบนามทซอนนามตวหนาเมอเราไมคนเคย เชน Daotho, a small village in Chiang Mai

Unit 6 • A / An ใชกบประโยคอทานทขนตนดวย What เชน What a pretty woman she is!

• The ใชน าหนาค านามทเปนเอกพจนและพหพจนซงเฉพาะเจาะจง หรอมสงเดยว เชน the universe

• The ใชน าหนาบรเวณภมศาสตร เชน I like the mountain. • The ใชน าหนาชอตางๆ เชน the Oriental Hotel, the Bangkok Post, the Owens • The ใชน าหนาล าดบทในต าแหนง เชน Queen Elizabeth the Second • The ใชน าหนาค าคณศพทขนทสดทขยายนาม เชน He is the youngest member.

Unit 6 • No Article - ค านามเอกพจนและพหพจนทมความหมายทวๆ ไป เชน Life is very hard for some people.

Cheese is made from milk.

Dogs are my good friends.

Come to dinner. - หนาชอเฉพาะทอยขางหลง “of” เชน the lake of

Lucene - หนาชอต าแหนงตามดวยชอเฉพาะ เชน Doctor Sombat

- ชอภาษาหรอชอวชาตางๆ เชน She speaks Japanese.

They love mathematics.

Unit 6

• Making Offers (เกยวกบขอเสนอตางๆ) เชน - Can I help you? - Shall I close the door for you?

- Would you like another tea? สามารถตอบรบไดดงน เชน - Yes please. That would be very kind of

you. - No thank you.

Unit 7 • Tense (กาล) รปกรยาทเปลยนแปลงไปตามเหตการณตางๆ โดยท - ถาเหตการณนนเกดขนในอดต กจะมรปกรยาแบบอดต (Past Tense) - ถาเหตการณนนเกดขนในปจจบน กจะมรปกรยาแบบปจจบน (Present

Tense) - ถาเหตการณนนเกดขนในอนาคต กจะมรปกรยาแบบอนาคต (Future

Tense) • Sentense (ประโยค) กลมค าทประกอบกนแลวมความหมายสมบรณ

subject (ภาคประธาน) + predicate (ภาคแสดง) สามารถบอกการกระท า ความเปนอย ความเปนไปของสงนน เชน

- I live in Thailand. (I = subject สวน live in Thailand = predicate)

[ ประโยคจะตองขนตนดวย “อกษรตวใหญ”และ “ลงทายดวย (.) หรอ (?) หรอ (!) เทานน” ]

Unit 7 • Simple Sentences ประโยคทม 1 ใจความหลก และไมม

Subordinate Clause (ใจความรอง) เชน

- We are happy.

- He went to the concert and was excited.

- Piyadaa and her husband live in Bangkok.

• Compound Sentences ประโยคทม 2 ใจความหลก (ขนไป) และไมมใจความรอง เชน

- [ He went to the concert ] and [ he was excited ].

- [ He went to the concert ] ; [ he was excited ].

- [ He was crashed by the bicycle ] ; nevertheless, [ he was fine ].

Unit 7

• Complex Sentences ประโยคทม 1 ใจความหลก และ 1 ใจความรอง (2 ใจความรองขนไป)

[MC = ใจความหลก สวน SC = ใจความรอง] MC SC

- [ My sister was happy ] [ when Toomtaam sang ]. • Compound-Complex Sentences ประโยคทมมากกวา 1 ใจความ

หลกและใจความรอง MC MC - [ He stood at the concert ] and [ he was excited ]

Unit 7 • Present Simple Tense บอกถงสงทท าในปจจบน ท าสม าเสมอ [ S + V1 (s, es, ies) ] เชน - I love you.

- Somjid Jongjorhor does the exercise everyday. • Present Continuous Tense บอกถงสงทก าลงกระท าในตอนน [ S + V to be + V ing ] เชน - Sugrid Wisedgaew is singing.

- I am falling in love with you. • Past Simple Tense บอกถงสงท าไปแลว [ S + V2 ] เชน - They were angry.

- Those comedians performed their show on the stage.

Unit 7 • Present Perfect Tense บอกถงสงทเคยท าไปแลว -> ท า

ในปจจบน -> อาจจะท าอกในอนาคต [ S + has / have + V3 ] เชน - We have been to England. - She has joined this party.

• Future Simple Tense บอกถงสงทจะท าในอนาคต [ S + will + V1 ] เชน - I will survive.

- We will rock you.

Unit 7

• Conditional Sentences หรอ If Clauses (ประโยคเงอนไข) มความหมายวา

ถา + (ค านาม / ค าสรรพนาม) + (เปน / ท า) + สงนน , (ค านาม / ค าสรรพนาม) + จะ + [ผลทตามมา]

ม 3 แบบ ดงน 1.[ If + S + V1 + O, S + Will + V (Base Form) ]

ใชบอกเงอนไขทจะเปนจรงในปจจบนและอนาคต (เปนไปได 80%) เชน If you do the exercise, you will be strong.

Unit 7 2. If + S + V2 + O, S + would + V (Base

Form) ใชเมอไมมทางเกดขนไดในปจจบนและอนาคต (เปนไปได 0%)

เชน If I was the millionaire, I would

travel around the world.

3. If + S + Had + V3 + O, S + Would +

Have + V3 ใชเมอเกดขนไมไดในปจจบน เพราะสงนนจบไปแลวในอดต หรอใชแสดงความรสกเสยดาย ตอสงนนๆ (เปนไปได 0%)

เชน If I had joined your team, I

would have been happy.

Unit 7

• Asking for Permission (การขออนญาต) เชน - May I borrow your pen?

- Could we borrow your ball? - Is it all right if I close the windows?

- Excuse me, may I sit here?

- I wonder if I could see your pet?

Unit 8 • Forms of Sentences

• Positive ประโยคบอกเลาธรรมดา • Negative ประโยคปฏเสธ เชน - We are not afraid.

- He can not fly.

- I do not like pop music.

• Question ประโยคทมเนอความเปนค าถามเพอทราบค าตอบ เชน - Are you a student?

- Can she speak English?

- Do you like pop music?

Unit 8

• Replying to Thanking (การตอบรบการขอบคณ) เชน - You are welcome. - It was my pleasure. - No problem. \

• Replying to Excusing (การตอบรบการขอโทษ) เชน - It does not matter. - Do not worry about it. - Forget it.

Unit 9 • Subject-Verb Agreement (ขอตกลงเกยวกบ ประธาน และ ค ากรยา) 1) บรรดาประธานแบบเอกพจนตองตามดวยค ากรยาแบบเอกพจน บรรดา

ประธานแบบพหพจนตองตามดวยค ากรยาแบบพหพจน เชน - My father is a doctor. They like Thai food.

2) บรรดาประธานประเภท Compound (ความรวม) ทเชอมดวยค าวา “and” นน เปนพหพจน ตองตามดวยค ากรยาแบบพหพจน เชน

- Golf and Mike are very cute.

3) เมอประธานถกเชอมดวยค าวา “or” หรอ “nor” ค ากรยาในประโยคนนจะคลอยตามค าทอยตดกบค ากรยา

หากค าทอยตดกบกรยาเปนเอกพจน กตองใชค ากรยาแบบเอกพจน เชน - Four or Mod sings this song.

หากค าทอยตดกบกรยาเปนพหพจน กตองใชค ากรยาแบบพหพจน เชน - Neither the boss nor the members have free time.

Unit 9 4) บรรดาค าสรรพนามประเภท Indefinite (ไมเจาะจง หรอ เหมารวม)

นนเปนเอกพจน และตองตามดวยค ากรยาแบบเอกพจน เชน

- Everybody has unique attraction.

5) ค านามประเภท Collective (ค านามทใชเปนชอของหมคณะ ฝง - พวก) จะอยในรปเอกพจนเมอ “ทกคนในกลม แสดงออก หรอ กระท า ดวยกน” เชน

- The jury decides the fate of the accused.

6) ค าบางค าทลงทายดวย “-s” นน เปนเอกพจน และตองตามดวยค ากรยาแบบเอกพจน เชน

- AIDS disease is dangerous.

- The news from this channel is very useful.

Unit 9 7) ค าสรรพนามแบบ Relative (เชอมความ) (who, whom,

which, and that) จะเปนเอกพจนหรอพหพจนหรอไม ขนอยกบค าทอางถง

หากค าทอางถงเปนเอกพจน ค าสรรพนามจะตองตามดวยค ากรยาแบบเอกพจน เชน

- He is a good researcher who spends a mount of time surfing the Web for information.

8) เมอประโยคขนตนดวยค าวา “Here” หรอ “There” จงสงเกตวา ค ากรยาทตามมานนเปนเอกพจนหรอพหพจน

หากเปนเอกพจน ค านามทเกยวของตองเปนเอกพจนดวย เชน - There is no need to go outside. หากเปนพหพจน ค านามทเกยวของตองเปนพหพจนดวย เชน - Here are my reasons for doing this.

Unit 9

9) หนวยของเวลา เงนตรา ทศทาง และน าหนก จะตองใชค ากรยาแบบเอกพจน เชน

- One hundred dollars an hour is a good rate.

10) ชอภาพยนตร ชอหนงสอ ชอนตยสาร ชอรายการโทรทศน จะตองตามดวยค ากรยาแบบเอกพจน เชน

- X-Men is a movie about science fiction.

- Thailand’s Got Talented is my favourite TV programme.

Unit 9 • Shopping (การสนทนาซอขายของ) Seller: Good morning. Can I help you?

Yaayaa: Yes, please. Do you have papayas?

Seller: Yes. How many do you want?

Yaayaa: Two please, and give me six apples too. Do you have oranges?

Seller: Yes. How many do you want?

Yaayaa: I want two kilos.

Seller: Is there anything else?

Yaayaa: No, that’s all. Seller: They are (price) bahts.

Yaayaa: Here you are. Seller: Thank you.

Unit 10

• Active VS Passive Forms

Active Form รปกรยาซง “ประธาน” เปน “ผกระท า” หรอ “แสดงกรยาตวนน” เชน

- Lionel Mezzi kicked the ball. Passive Form รปกรยาซง “ประธาน” เปน

“ผถกกระท า” หรอ “ถกกระท ากรยานนโดยผอน” หรอ “ไดรบผลจากกรยาตวนน”

[ S + V to be + V3] เชน - The ball was kicked by Lionel Mezzi.

Unit 10 • Talking on the Phone (การสนทนาทางโทรศพท) เชน Pedthaai: Hello. May I help you?

Nadade: May I speak to Tukgee, please? Is she in?

Pedthaai: Yes, hold the line a moment, please. I will see if she is in.Oh, she is in the meeting now. Would you like to tell her to call you back?

Nadade: No. Thank you. I will call again later.

Pedthaai: Would you wish to leave a message for her?

Nadade: Tell her that I am Nadade, her old friend.

Pedthaai: I will tell her. Good Bye. Nadade: Good Bye.
