Pekalongan, as one of the busy cities in Central Java, has some tourism destination. The

local development started to develop their local potential since years ago. It is famous

for its DEWOBALITUNG. Dewobalitung is main tourism destination in PekalonganRegency, consisting Depok Beach, Wonokerto Beach, Batik Village Kemplong, Linggo

Asri, and ecotourism Petungkriono.

Linggo Asri tourism resort is one of the favorite resort destinations in Pekalongan

regency. It has all-green natural view and fresh air. It is located in Kajen district, south

part of Pekalongan, 700 meters above the sea surface.

The combination of nature potential, mountain range and the social life of local people

become the interesting factor for this area to become a favourite place to visit.

Meanwhile, its location is strategic enough, on the south lane and between Pekalongan

and Banjarnegara Regeancy, so it makes tourists easier to find the place.

Outbond Centre

There are some outbound game in Linggo Asri, such as flying fox and spider bridge.

This outbound center do not operate on weekdays. It usually opens on weekend and

holiday only. The tariff is not expensive.

Children Playing Ground

Linggo Asri is not a tourism destination for adults only. It is also suitable for children,

because it also offers playing arena for children. Some playing instruments are available

here, such as swing double, kid slide, and bollocks.

Camping Ground

Linggo Asri also offers wide camping ground. High schools often camp in this lot. It

also has a hall in the camping ground location.

Man-made Cave

There is a cave in Linggo Asri, but the cave is not formed by nature. It is a man-madecave. The wide is a bout 3,5 meters and has 35 meters depth.

Mini Zoo

Mini zoo in Linggo Asri has various animals, there are elephants, peacocks, pigeons,

monkeys, and some exotic birds.

Swimming Pool and Villas

There is a swimming pool available for the visitors, and if you want to spend the night

in Linggo Asri you dont need to be worried about where else to sleep, because Linggo

Asri also offers villas with affordable night rate.

Megono Gunungan Grebeg Syawal

The rituals of Megono Gunungan is held annually in Linggoasri, to celebrate Eid

Mubarak day as the manifestation of gratitude to God and a hope that this and next

years will be full of blessing. It is held on 7 th days of Syawal month, the 10th month

according to Islam calendar. This ceremonial Grebeg Syawal attended by thousands

people not only from Pekalongan, but also from other cities such as Banjarnegara,

Wonosobo and Pemalang. This attraction becomes one of the interests of Linggo Asri.

Megono Gunungan is an upside down cone form (tumpeng) made of packed megono

rice. Megono itself is a typically unique food from Pekalongan, made of young jackfruit

and coconut rasped, steamed with special spices.

Kalingga Satya Dharma Temple

It is very interesting to find a temple in a strict-adherent of Islam city like Pekalongan.

But yes, there exists other religions, one of them is Hindu. It used to be 90 percent of

the Linggo Asri citizens were Hindu, but the number is getting decreasing these days

due to other religions dissemination.
