military transport aircraft that can carry large equipment, supplies troops directly to small airfields to harsh terrain anywhere in the world. IL-76 is a medium range transport aircraft by Ilyshin Aviation complex which serves the same purpose.

During demonetization, these aircrafts were used to take care of the cash crunch-to ferry currency notes from government printing presses at Nasik and Mysuru as a request from the finance ministry
