Recently, we had a friendship football match between KSC and

Starbuck at Arena 10 Field, Thong Lor 10 to strengthen a tie of

friendship between the two companies. KSC and Starbuck has been

business partners for a long time as KSC has provided KSC Hotspot,

the wireless broadband Internet connection and also provides

Internet connection between Starbucks’ headquarter and its

branches all over the country.

เหมอนกน เราเรยกวาระบบ “One time password” ยก

ตวอยางไดแก ระบบของ Hardware Token ระบบนจะแตก

ตางจากการใช Smart card และ PKI ดงทกลาวมาแลว กลาว

คอระบบจะใช Token ทมลกษณะคลาย ๆ กบ พวงกญแจท

ผ ใชตองพกตดตว Token จะ generate ตวเลขชดหนงออก

มาเพอใชประกอบในการ Log in เขาสระบบ โดยเราตองตด

ตง Authentication Server เพอรองรบการ Log in จาก

client ถาตรงกนกจะปลอยให client เขาสระบบได เพราะตวเลข

นจะใชแคเพยงครงเดยว จากในรป Password หรอ Passcode

สำาหรบ authenticate ประกอบดวย PIN ( something you

know ) + Token Code (Something you have)

Authenticator หรอ Token เปน Hardware ทใชสราง dynamic password ในขณะทก�าลงเขาสระบบเครอขาย ม 2 วธ คอ Synchronous และ Asynchronous Authentication

1. Synchronous Authentication แบงออกเปน 2 ประเภทตามลกษณะของการใชงาน คอ

• Synchronous Authentication โดยขนอยกบสถานการณ (Event-synchronous authentication) เมอผใชตองการทจะเขาสระบบ ผใชจะตองกด Token เพอให Token สรางรหสผานให จากนนผใชน�ารหสผานทแสดงหลงจากกด Token ใสลงในฟอรม เพอเขาสระบบ ระบบจะท�าการตรวจสอบกบ serverกอน วารหสผานทใสมอยใน server จรง จงจะยนยอมใหผใชเขาสระบบ

• Synchronous Authentication โดยขนอยกบเวลา (Time-synchronous authentication) เปน วธการทสรางรหสผาน

โดยมการก�าหนดชวงระยะเวลาการใชงาน โดยปกตแลวรหสผานจะถกเปลยนทกๆ 1 นาท การสรางรหสผานจะเปนไปอยางตอเนอง ท�าใหบางครงรหสผานทสรางออกมาอาจจะซ�ากนกบรหสผานตวอนทเคย สรางมาแลวกได เมอผใชตองการเขาสระบบกใสรหสผานและเวลาทรหสผานตวนนถก สรางขนมา ( รหสผานจะถกสรางขนมาจาก Token ) ลงในฟอรม เพอเขาสระบบ ระบบจะท�าการตรวจสอบเวลาและรหสผานทผใชใสลงไป กบ serverวารหสผานทใสตรงกบเวลาท Token สราง และมอยใน server จรง จงยนยอมใหผใชเขาสระบบ

Asynchronous Authentication หรอเรยกอกอยางหนงวา “Challenge-Response” ถกพฒนาขน เปนล�าดบแรกๆ ของระบบการใช dynamic password ซงถอไดวาเปนการปองกนการจโจมทปลอดภยทสด เพราะเนองจากวาเมอผใชตองการจะเขาสระบบ ผใชจะตองท�าการรองของไปยง server จากนน serverกจะสง challenge string มาใหผใช เพอใหผใชใสลงใน Token ทผใชถออย จากนน Token จะท�าการค�านวณรหสผานออกมาใหผใช ผใชจงสามารถน�ารหสผานนนใสลงในฟอรมเพอเขาสระบบได

Authentication- it is called “One time password”. They are, for

example, the Hardware Token system. Unlike the Smart Card and

PKI system, Hardware Token system uses a token, which is like a

key that a user needs to carry with them? The token generates a

set of number for a user to use when logging in to the system.

We need to install an Authentication Server to support the client’s

logging in. If the numbers match, then the client can access to

the system since this set of numbers is used as one time password.

In the picture, you will see that a password or pass code for

authentication consists of PIN (something you know) + Token

Code (Something you have)

Authenticator or a Token is a hardware that is used to create a dynamic

password when logging in to the network system. The authentication

can be done in 2 types - Synchronous Authentication and

Asynchronous Authentication.

1. Synchronous Authentication– is available in 2 types according

to type of usage.

• Event-synchronous authentication : When a user want to access

to the system, a user must press the token to create a password.

As a user inputs the password to the form to access to the system,

the system then identifies with the server to check whether the

code does exist in the server. Then the permission to access the

system is granted.

• Time-synchronous authentication In this method, password

will be generated according to period of usage time. Normally the

password will be changed in every 1 minute. As the system keeps

generating passwords, some of them might be repeatedly created.

To access to the system, a user needs to input both password

generated by the token and the time that the password is created

to the form. The system then checks whether time and password

are correct and match before allowing the user to access to the

system.

2. Asynchronous Authentication is also called Challenge-Response.

It has been developed since the dynamic password was in it early

state of development. The dynamic password is the most secured

identification method. When a user attempts to access to the system.

A user will need to send request to a server. Then the server sends

challenge string for the user to input in a token. The token then

generates password for users. With this password, a user can enter

the system.

In Synchronous Authentication, both client and server need to keep

password but in Asynchronous Authentication, the client needs to

‘contact’ the server to get a real password. Therefore, Asynchronous

Authentication is more complicated than Synchronous Authentication.

3. Something You Are In this authentication, the Biometric

technology is applied to used to identify a user by using organ that

contains unique characteristic such as finger mark or iris. The Smart

Card can be used in combination with the Biometric. We record a

finger mark in the Smart Card’s microchip. This is a higher level of

security and the cost is also higher than others.

If we need a good security system for Authenticity or Accountability,

we need to add type 2 or type 3 of authentication to increase the

security level. These methods are Security Solutions that KSC can

provide to your organization.

To make your quick walk burn calories, you need to walk at a quick

long pace with your arms swinging hardly. A quick walk means you

need to walk at 5-8 km. per hour, or 6-9 km. per hour for a walkathon.

Frequently walk helps strengthen your heart and your muscle. It is

also good for your joints movement.

How many calories that are burnt after walking?

How much energy is burnt during a walk depends on your weight, speed

and also how hard you swing your arms. Walking at 6 km./ hour may burn

approximately 440 Kg. Cal. A person with more weight may be able to

burn calories more than one with lighter weight. Walking on a floor helps

you burn more calories than walking on a belt. Therefore if you want more

calories to be burnt, walk on a flat floor and inclining floor. The American

Heart Association recommend that, if one need to burn more calories, he

or she should spend a longer exercise session.

How to get exercise by walking?

You can take a walk in the park with your friends or join a regular walking

group. Set up a destination or length of time that you would like to walk,

and then walk with a group of friends. The good path for walking should

have slopes and the whether is not too hot to walk.

Benefits of quick walking

• Walking for 1-3 hours/week reduces risk of heart disease by 30%

• Walking for 3 hours/week reduces risk of heart disease by 35%

• Walking for 5 hours/week reduces risk of heart disease by 40%

• Quick walking is better for your ankles and knees than running.

• Quick walking for 20-60 minutes per week, 3 days per week can reduce

stress.

Quick Walking Tips

• Consult your doctor before working out, especially if you have high

blood pressure or heart disease.

• If you feel exhausted, dizzy, chest pain. You should walk slower or stop

and consult your doctor.

• Follow these exercise steps. Warm up to increase the blood flow to

the working muscle and body. Then stretch your muscles, such as arms,

legs, calf and shoulders before walking faster. When complete the

session, walk slower for 5 minutes to warm up.

• If you can’t find a place to walk, join a Walk for Health club or walk with

friends to encourage you to walk frequently.

• The walking path should be a park with slopes and tree shade so the

weather is not too hot to walk.

• To keep you enjoy walking, you may listen to music or look around at

the scenery. If you are walking on the belt, focus to something or think

about solutions of a problem.

• When you get stronger, increase speed and swing your arms harder

for better calorie burning.

What is SPF Record?

SPF (Sender Policy Framework) เปนอกหนงกลไกทถกนำ�ม�ใชใน ระบบ Internet Mail System โดย เปนก�รเพมขอมล (record) เข�ไปใน DNS เพอให

เมลเซรฟเวอรปล�ยท�งส�ม�รถตรวจสอบไดว� อเมลทสงเข�ม�นน สงม�จ�กตนท�งทเหม�ะสมหรอไม มก�รปลอมตวม�สงหรอไม

หลกการทำางาน ของ SPF Record

SPF Record นนหลกการการท�างานงายๆกคอ เมอเมลเซรฟเวอรปลายทางไดรบการตดตอเขามาจากทใดกตาม เพอทจะสงเมลเขามายงเครองเมลเซรฟเวอรปลายทาง กระบวนการในการในการท�างานระหวางการสงน ตาม SMTP Protocol จะมขนตอนแนะน�าตวดวยค�าสง HELO หรอ EHLO ตามดวยชอเครอง เมลเซรฟเวอรของผสง จากนนผสงกจะบอกวา เมลนนถกสงจากใครดวยค�าสง MAIL FROM: แลวถงตามดวย การระบปลายทางของผรบเมลและเนอหาเมลตอไป ซง ณ จดนเมลเซรฟเวอรปลายทาง จะรบทราบแลววา มการตดตอเขามาจาก IP ใด ชอ Host อะไร และสงในนามอเมลของใคร ขนตอนตอไปเมลเซรฟเวอรปลายทาง กจะน�าสงตางๆ เหลานไปตรวจสอบ โดยการหาขอมล SPF มาโดยท�าการตดตอไปยง DNS Server เพอสอบถามขอมล SPF Record หรอ TXT Record ของโดเมนทอยในอเมลผสง ซงถาโดเมนไดมการก�าหนด SPF เอาไว เมลเซรฟเวอรปลายทางกจะได ขอมล SPF มา ซงขอมลหลกๆ ทอยใน SPF จะบอกวาเมลเซรฟเวอรไหน Hostname อะไร หรอ IP อะไร สามารถสงเมลในนาม @domain นนไดบาง และขอมลจาก SPF ทมการระบเอาไว จะใหตความหมายวาอยางไร เมอเมลเซรฟเวอรปลายทางไดรบขอมล SPF จาก DNS Server แลว กจะเอาขอมลเหลานนไปท�าการเปลยบเทยบกบคา IP, Hostname ของเมลเซรฟเวอรทตดตอเขามาอกครงหนง และตความใหมตามท SPF ระบเอาไว

SPF จ�าเปนทตองใชความรวมมอจากโดเมนตางๆ ทตองระบคา SPF ลงไปใน DNS ของตนเอง ซงในการระบน ผระบทเปนเจาของหรอผดแลโดเมนสามารถทจะก�าหนดระดบของโทษของเมลทมการสงนอกเหนอจากทระบไวไดเอง ซงบางแหงอาจจะมการระบเอาไวต�าในระดบ Neutral หรอระดบ Softfail เทานน ซงสงผลให มการแอบอางอเมลในการสงไดสงผลใหเมลเซรฟเวอรปลายทางไมสามารถทจะน�าเอา SPF มาใชไดอยางเตมประสทธภาพ การท SPF จะสามารถท�างานไดอยางเตมประสทธภาพไดนน คงตองรอใหมความรวมมอในการระบบ SPF อยางจรงจง และเขมงวดเสยกอน

SPF (Sender Policy Framework) is a mechanic that is used in

Internet Mail System. It adds record to the DNS so that a terminal

mail server can check whether the mails come from right senders

or whether it is hacked.

SPF Record Working Flow

The process of SPF Record is that, when a terminal mail server is

contacted by a sender that the mail will be sent, the SMTP protocol

is introducing itself by sending command “HELO’ or EHLO, followed

by the PC name and the sender server. Next, use command “MAIL

FROM:” to identify the sender. Then the destination and mail content

will be specified. The terminal server acknowledges the source IP, host

name and the sender’s email. The terminal mail server will check this

information by finding SPF information from the DNS server which

provides SPF records or TXT records of the sender’s email. If the SPF

is assigned on the domain, the terminal server will get the SPF

information. The SPF let us know the mail server, hostname of the

sender and also tell us which IP can send the email from the @domain.

It also let us know how to interpret the information from that SPF.

When the terminal server get SPF information from the DNS Server,

it then map the information with IP address and the hostname of the

connecting server and interpret the information as assigned by the

SPF.

SPS system needs cooperation from domain administrators to assign

SPF setting in their DNS. To assign, the domain owner or administrator

can specify level of outgoing mail that are not under the specified

rules. Some domain set them as Neutral or Softfail and this may allow

the phony emails to be sent out and the SPF can’t work effectively.

To maximize the capacity of the SPF, we will need a strict and serious

corporation to create an SPF system.

How to make Notepad automatically break a message and start a new line?

If you keep typing in Notepad without pressing ‘enter’ to

start the new line, the Notepad page will be too long. Here

is how you can automatically break the message and start

a new line when you reach the document edge (like in

Microsoft Word’s Right Indent).

1. Open Notepad, Choose Edit.

2. Check in the box in front of Word Wrap.

Now Notepad will break the message and automatically

start the new line.
