Only one thing concerns me: Be sure that you live in a way that brings honor to the Good News of Christ. Then whether I come and visit you or am away from you, I will hear that you are standing strong with one purpose that you work together as one for the faith of the Good News. Philippians 1:27 NCV I. Restart & Reset When You Know Life Can Be Better People are searching for a life that is not ordinary, there is something within each of us that wants to reach higher, live deeper and realize our greater potential, our true purpose. Isn’t there something in you that wants to rise up and lay claim to the great life God has for you? Reset: To set back to the initial state, to set anew, to adjust again after an initial failure. A reset is a turning point in our walk with God. How different would our lives be if we asked God to set things anew and sincerely meant it? Would our daily routines look the same? Would our attitudes remain as they are? John 17: 1119 Many are sure if they can just arrive somewhere, attain a position, accomplish a goal, or have the right relationship, they will find and enjoy a sense of success. Success is not defined by arriving at a destination but by discovering the significance of being today what God has called us to be. Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. 2 Corinthians 6:2 There are only 365 steps to a successful life! II. Following the Master – A New Life To Live By 1 Peter 2:21 Every person who Jesus called to follow Him, their life was never the same again; they experienced a radical transformation. The new life offered to us by Jesus Christ allows us to experience the steadfast and overwhelming love of God in new ways. Every day brings with it the invitation to experience God’s love more deeply— more intimately. A. Following Jesus brings us to an altar an encounter with God. At Bethel, Abraham built one of the first altars mentioned in the Bible, and there he “invoked the name of the Lord.” (Genesis 12:8) After Abraham had fled to Egypt to escape a famine in the Holy Land, he returned to the same place near Bethel, and once again invoked the name of the Lord. (Genesis 13:1–4) The first part of that process is laying everything on the altar. Build an altar of devotion to God with the hard things of your life. B. Following Jesus requires us to confront and break free from strongholds. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds. 2 Corinthians 10:4 To break free from our strongholds, we must confront them. This is one of the great things about being in a relationship with God is that He calls us to confrontation, and empowers us to overcome. I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me. Philippians 4:13 (AMP) If there is a Goliath in front of you, there is a David inside of you! Breaking free from any stronghold requires an encounter with God. C. Following Jesus reveals our true new self. In the great plan of God to redeem fallen mankind, we see a salvation so marvelous that it makes all who believe in Christ a completely new person in Him. This transformation from darkness to light is a core belief of all who believe in Jesus as their Savior. As new creations in Christ God puts His signature in our lives. We have new spiritual DNA and we bear the image of God as His children. Colossians 1:923 Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. Luke 9:12 Giving ourselves permission to hit “reset” is more about living as a new creation in Christ, and less about trying to muddle through life on our own. We don’t have to remain in the same old place, in bondage to strongholds. We can choose to start over each and every morning! Core Statement: I’m ready to restart, reset and reconnect! My God is a God of new beginnings and I seek His daily influence and significance in my life. I will abide 365! Core Point: God is a God of new beginnings. God has a plan and that plan is a day to day, momentto moment spiritual perspective. God’s purpose is found as we abide 365!

I.  Restart  &  Reset  -‐  When  You  Know  Life  Can  Be  Better

People  are  searching  for  a  life  that  is  not  ordinary,  there  is  something  within  each  of  us  that  wants  to  reach  higher,  live  deeper  and  realize  our  greater  potential,  our  true  purpose.  Isn’t  there  something  in  you  that  wants  to  rise  up  and  lay  claim  to  the  great  life  God  has  for  you?

There  are  only  365  steps  to  a  successful  life!

II.  Following  the  Master  –  A  New  Life  To  Live  By      1  Peter  2:21

Every  person  who  Jesus  called  to  follow  Him,  their  life  was  never  the  same  again;  they  experienced  a  radical  transformation.

The  new  life  offered  to  us  by  Jesus  Christ  allows  us  to  experience  the  steadfast  and  overwhelming  love  of  God  in  new  ways.  Every  day  brings  with  it  the  invitation  to  experience  God’s  love  more  deeply—more  intimately.

A.  Following  Jesus  brings  us  to  an  altar  -‐  an  encounter  with  God.

(Genesis  13:1–4)

The  first  part  of  that  process  is  laying  everything  on  the  altar.

2  Corinthians  10:4

To  break  free  from  our  strongholds,  we  must  confront  them.  This  is  one  of  the  great  things  about  being  in  a  relationship  with  God  is  that  He  calls  us  to  confrontation,  and  empowers  us  to  overcome.

I  have  strength  for  all  things  in  Christ  Who  empowers  me.    Philippians  4:13  (AMP)

If  there  is  a  Goliath  in  front  of  you,  there  is  a  David  inside  of  you!

Colossians  1:9-‐23

Then  He  called  His  twelve  disciples  together  and  gave  them  power  and  authority  over  all  demons,  and  to  cure  diseases.    He  sent  them  to  preach  the  kingdom  of  God  and  to  heal  the  sick.    Luke  9:1-‐2

Giving  ourselves  permission  to  hit  “reset”  is  more  about  living  as  a  new  creation  in  Christ,  and  less  about  trying  to  muddle  through  life  on  our  own.

God  has  a  plan  and  that  plan  is  a  day  to  day,  moment-‐to-‐moment  spiritual  perspective.    God’s  purpose  is  found  as  we  abide  365!
