Introduction

Objective:

to Design an LED light out of PETG plastic and bristol board to display a given amount of Led lights. The light will be created with a specic word or narrative as the core concept, and should convey this narrative to the viewer.

Contraints:

-No hardware / fasteners-No surface manipulation of PETG -No painting-3 to 7 LEDS used


Ideation:Ideate four unconventional words to describe light. create image boards

composed of photographs and images to accompany each word.

Fervent - ire - ominous - stasis


Fervent:having or showing great warmth or intensity of spirit, feeling, enthusiasm

Ire:intense anger; wrath.


Ominous:portending evil or harm; foreboding; threatening; inauspicious

Stasis:the state of equilibrium or inactivity caused by opposing equal forces.


Ideation revision:Review chosen words in class. if needed revise existing image boards or change

words entirely if needed.

enthusiastic:absorbing or controlling possession of the mind by any interest or pursuit; lively interest

Fervent became too physicaly descriptive of light. as a substitute i used enthusiasm, whcih embodies the untangible spirit of fervent without the physical description.


Initial permutations:create various permutative sketch models

exploring forms assosciated with the four chosen words as well as structrual

techniques.


iterations:after exploring form and structure loosely

through sktech models, create iterative models for each of the four chosen words.
