PHOTOGRAPHY IS ALL ABOUT?

Photography by the “light” and “paint” a combina-tion of two words, photography, by the light, pho-tography is the heart of creation, a robot might be photography, but will never experience the kind of heart at the moment of shutter vibration.

Try the eye, but also hard to shoot to feel, I found the realm of photography, the original very big. Photog-raphy is themselves with their own dialogue. Photog-raphy, the story telling. The same camera, same lens, but because of the different state of mind, emotional photographs taken are different. Photography is a sub-traction: want to show something good, then do not sub-tract from the composition. Photography, not that you fi nd a good place, but rather you see a good picture.

On when each one, all life, the last one, seriously beat, heart beat. Love fi lm, mean to pat on the camera, there must be a respect. Photography can be heart, but not easily.

In the search process, the Internet to see comments, try to shop other hand, the whole process is full of expectations, the more beautiful the more looking forward to the process. Find, to make you under-stand themselves better understand what I need to supplement their defi ciencies in photography.

It is often a ba-sic idea or tiny observation that gives me a han-dle on the situation and something to aim for.

Artist Statement

I am living in Kowloon, so for me Tuen Mun is a strange place, I only know that Tuen Mun have a rich historical background in the books, also in the daily life of people living in Tuen Mun do not always to go to other places, be-cause Tuen Mun is everything in the town of a material life.

When I fi rst stepped into Chung Uk Tsuen, there is the feel-ing of disappointment, because of it is very different be-tween my thought, Chung Uk Tsuen now retain only a small amount of old buildings, many of them are new houses, I think that this place loss of old, traditional atmosphere

Go to Chung Uk Tsuen in several times, I ever feel con-fused, later I donʼt worry too much, directly according to my own sense of Chung Uk Tsuen, from the photos show the light / dark, which is what I feel Chung Uk casual environment, such as from the heart of the city, feeling fresh and pure. However, this place also gives me the dark, cold feeling, in the village a very small amount of people, I feel very alone. Also houses have closed the door and windows, the meaning of strong self-protection, made me even harder into this place.

I have to admitted that i have learnt the most from the docu-mentary project. I dicovered more and more about HK, the people, the places. HK is a small but warm place. There are still a lot of things we neeed to appre-ciate. In this course, my skills has also improved gradually. But I donʼt this is the most important. What I saw and feel is much more precious and all of these memories, I had kept them in photos.
