INTRODUCTION

We began our business with handlooms and still love handloom fabrics. The versatility of handlooms continue to inspire us to weave.

Indian Linen Co has worked through handlooms, powerlooms and autolooms in our rich history of 20 years in the

home textile industry.They have owned, operated and woven fabrics in all types of looms in the industry giving them a rich experience of

fabric weaving from dobbies to jacquards.They consider themselves masters of Linen weaving and have been working with this fibre for over 12 years. From

yarn dyed fabrics to printed linen fabrics.The business now focuses on private labels and exclusive production / design for our small set of select customers

around the world, most who have been working with them for over 15 years.

Our first unit was a blend of handlooms and power looms. We wove jacquards and dobbies up to 120’’ on power looms.

Our customers inspired us to put up our Auto loom Jaquard and Dobby machines. We started weaving linen jacquards and were one of the first in

the industry.

MANJARI

• Manjari village is located in the Bhilangna river valley close to Ghansali town at 5000 ft amidst Pine @ Oak forests in Garhwal Himalayas.

• Sparsely populated with forests and villages scattered across the valley, this area of Garhwal takes one back in time.

• There is abundant wildlife with leopards and smaller cats, wild boars, barking deers and the famous mountain goat of Garhwal, the Ghurul. The Himalayan Black Bear is also found in our forests.

• Bird life is abundant through the year with many exotic species including the Paradise Flycatcher, Serpent Eagles and Big Owls.

‘Every piece grows a tree’ partners with Indian Linen Co (textile export firm) to use the textile wastage and

produce innovate products for raising money for the Trees for Himalayas initiate. The initiative includes local

species regeneration nursery, plantation of local species including regenerating local oak and other environmental

programs in their valley.
