La Torretta Hotel is located in a breath-taking place, in front of one an enchanting and one of the most fascinating glaciers in Italy. The Cirmolo Spa brings such an advantage into the hotel and makes a beautiful space based on the motive of a mountain. After conducting a research on the local houses and surroundings, Studio D73 set to work focusing on the various shapes of mountains and trees. They chose local materials such as granite and cirmolo wood for its scent, creating a relaxing and unique space. The wood was applied to not only the floor but also furniture, and sinks were made of granite stones, carved by hand, just like sculptures. The materials were not painted, to avoid covering the properties that would fill the spa with vigor. The Spa includes five between saunas and Hammam, two relax zones - one with water mattresses and the other one with very special loungers. The tree objects with enchanting shapes makes the customers feel as if they were in a cottage in a forest. Outside, guests can relax themselves in the sauna and whirlpool while enjoying the stunning mountain landscape capped with snow.

이탈리아 브레시아 지역의 빙하 앞에 자리잡은 라 토레타 호텔은 숨 막힐 듯 아름다운 경

관이 가장 큰 특징이다. 내부에 자리한 치에몰로 스파는 이러한 호텔의 장점을 내부로 그

대로 옮겨와 자연 특히 산을 모티브로 한 아름다운 공간으로 완성되었다.

디자인을 맡은 스튜디오 D73은 먼저 현지 주택들과 주변 환경을 살펴보고 다양한 모습의

산과 나무에 초점을 맞추어 디자인을 진행했다. 특히, 현지의 재료인 치에몰로 목재와 대

리석을 주요 마감재로 선택하고 재료가 지닌 고유의 향을 활용해 편안하고 개성있는 공간

을 만들어내고자 했다. 이에 벽과 바닥뿐만 아니라 가구에도 치에몰로 목재를 사용하였으

며, 세면대는 대리석을 직접 깎아 만드는 등 별도의 색이나 마감재를 입히지 않은 자연의

재료 그대로를 사용해 그 안에서 품어 나오는 생기 넘치는 에너지를 공간 가득 담아낼 수

있게 했다.

내부 공간은 다섯 개의 사우나, 공중목욕탕과 함께 두 개의 휴게실로 이루어져 있다. 두

휴게실에는 각각 물 매트리스, 라운지체어 등 다양한 형태의 시설을 두어 편히 휴식할 수

있게 했으며 곳곳에 독특한 나무 형태의 오브제들을 더해 마치 숲 속 산장에 있는 듯한 느

낌을 선사하고 있다. 이외에도 외부는 노천탕까지 갖추고 있어 하얀 눈으로 뒤덮인 산의

멋진 풍경을 감상하며 피로를 풀 수 있는 특별한 경험을 제공한다.
