A successful team beats with one heart

All started 3 years ago when 2 friends founded Startup Weekend Mures with the desire to bring innovation in the city. Since then, we’ve continued to grow the entrepreneurial community in Targu Mures, together with the help and the contribution of awesome people who got inspired by this event. As community and collaboration is such a fundamental part of our philosophy.

So, it’s time to continue our passion for entrepreneurship by helping startups to grow, through education, and of course, by working in a space where people like me, and like you, can collaborate and bring new life and vitality to the area.

InnoWork wants to become an affordable and inspiring shared office environment for creatives, startups, and freelancers, but become in time a hub, with mentoring programs and facilitating access to funds.

We’re thrilled to be part of the global coworking movement, and will actively document and share our learnings across a wide variety of platforms.

We’re not reinventing the wheel here – we’ve been researching what’s been done, what’s worked, what hasn’t – we’re connecting with individuals to learn directly from people’s experiences through stories and words of wisdom.

Ecosystems are The Future

How InnoWork wants to grow and help:

● strategic partnerships with companies to offer free/discounted services for InnoWork members (until now we have with zooku for hosting, BestJobs for recruiting)

● strategic partnerships with universities for bringing students to work in startups as interns and also to evangelize towards them the entrepreneurship spirit

● strategic partnerships with other coworking spaces in the country and in Europe, for a

coworking passport to grant access in all spaces from this network and also local access to funds for cowork members across the whole network (the plan is on going, check more here)

● making steps towards becoming a hub ad innovation lab, by start running mentorship programs, with weekly mentors dedicated 2-4 hrs day in the space

● strategic partnership with coworking spaces for a startup retreat program, exchange of experience (eg. startupretreats.com )

These are the activities planned for the next 1-2 years, but the opportunities are infinite.

Accelerator

Fixed-term, cohort-based programs,

that include mentorship and

educational components and

culminate in a public pitch event or

demo day, and also access to

investors / fundings.

Startup retreat

Most of the team meets and works in

a new location than the usual one

(remote, other city, other country) It’

s focused on fun, relaxation, team-

building, and a break from day to day

operations.

Innovation hub

Maybe the most interesting feature of

hubs is that they aim to convene like-

minded individuals, the thinkers,

researchers, authors, and visionaries,

while at the same time bringing together

people with different backgrounds and

knowledge. To stimulate software and

mobile app innovations, hubs usually aim

to gather techies and coders, but also

bring in business people and investors.

Hubs are build on the notion that

ideation and creativity and so they aim

to create a structure in which individuals

serendipitously interact with others that

they would not typically meet.
