유도가열에 있어서 가열코일과 피가열물(금속)의 관계는 변압기에 있어서 1,2차 코일의 관계와 같다.
그림에서와 같이 가열코일에 고주파전류를 흘림으로써 발생하는 자속이 피가열물에 집중되어, 전자유도작용에 의해 소용돌이 전류가
발생되어 피가열물이 가열됩니다. 이 때 교류전류의 주파수, 전력, 가열시간, 유지시간, 코일형상 등을 강재의 종류, 형상에 따라 선택
함으로써 각각의 강재에 적절한 품질특성을 부여할 수 있습니다.
고주파 전류는 표면에 집중하여 흐르는 경향이 있어
(표피효과) 중심부로 갈수록 전류밀도는 지수함수적으로
감쇄한다. 전류침투 깊이 δ는,
단, : 비투자율 ρ : 고유저항(μΩ·cm) f : 주파수(Hz)
전류밀도가 표면의 37%로 저하하는 위치를 말한다.
비투자율 는 상온의 경우 (α철) ≤100이고
Curie점 이상(γ철)이 되면 =1이 된다.
고유저항 ρ(Ω·cm)는 상온에서 소입가열 온도까지의
범위에서는 10~100×10-6(Ω·cm)로 된다.
1. Principle of induction heating
The relation between heating coil and object(metal) to be heated
in induction heating is similar to that between the primary and the
secondary coils in a transformer. The magnetic flux generated by a
high-frequency current in the heating coil is focused on the object
as shown in the figure. This flux induces eddy currents in the object
and so causes electromagnetic induction heating. By appropriately
selecting the frequency and power of the alternating current, heating
time, holding time, coil configuration and so on to match the type and
shape of the steel material, the quality characteristics of the steel can
be finely tailored.

2. High Frequency Current Penetration Depth
A high frequency electric current has a tendency to run concentratedly on the conductor surface, what is called skin effect.
Therefore, electric current penetration depth δ is expressed as,

becomes 37% of that at the surface.
At the normal temperature(α-steel) ≤ 100,

06 _ TECHNOLOGY
표면경화처리로서의 고주파 열처리는 경화층을 자유롭게 선정하여 내마모성과 피로강도를 개선하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다.
유도가열은 전자유도 현상을 이용하여 금속내에서 전기에너지를 직접 열에너지로 변환시켜 발열시키는 방법으로 이것을 이용한
고주파 열처리에는 많은 장점이 있다.
·가열효율이 좋고 작업시간이 짧기 때문에 Energy가 절약되어 가공비가 절감된다.
·국부가열이 가능하며 경화층 깊이 선정이 자유롭다.
·급열/급냉이 가능해서 표면에 생기는 압축잔류응력은 피로강도를 향상시킨다.
·산화/탈탄의 염려가 없고 변형도 적다.
·전기에너지를 이용하므로 운전/표준화/자동화 등이 용이하다.
·작업환경이 좋고 공해의 발생이 적다.
3. Purpose and characteristics of high-frequency heat treatment
The purpose of high-frequency heat treatment for surface hardening is to improve abrasion resistance and fatigue strength by selecting
the hardening depth in a flexible way. In induction heating, electromagnetic induction is used to convert electrical energy into heat
energy within the metal itself. High-frequency heat treatment using this method has many benefits.
· Heating efficiency is high and work time is short, which results in savings in terms of energy and cost.
· Heating can be done in the specified area, and hardening depth can be selected in a flexible way.
· Rapid heating/cooling is possible, and the compressive residual stress on the surface enhances fatigue strength.
· There is no worry about oxidation or decarburization, and there is less deformation.
· As electro-magnetic energy is used, it is easy to operate/standardize/automate.
· The working environment is pleasant and there is little pollution generated.
3. 고주파열처리의 목적과 장점

소입물의 승온 후의 냉각을 하기위한 설비로 통상의 물 외에 특수한
소입액을 사용합니다.
It is a facility for cooling after the temperature rising of workpiece
and it uses a special quenchant instead of normal water.
고주파설비는 부품, 회로부품 모두 전류밀도를 올리고 있기 때문에 자
신의 손실을 냉각할 필요가 있으므로 대부분이 수냉을 행합니다.
Since a high frequency facility needs high current density on parts and
circuit components, it needs to cool down itself with water cooling.

The diversity of induction heating application calls of a broad range of power sources, both in frequency and output power.Korea Neturen supplies wide range of induction generators.

The MK16A accommmodates a frequency range of 1kHz to 50 kHz at an output range of 50kW to 600kW. Refer to the following ratings for details.
에너지 절약 (Energy Savings)
고 변환 효율의 인버터를 위하여 부하역률을 1로 운전하는 제어방식을 채용하여
트랜지스터를 동작시킵니다. 그 결과 입력전력에서 약 5%, 냉각수에서 약 44% 절
약할 수 있습니다.
MK16A Transistor inverters are operated with phase angle 0(cosØ≒1)and use high-speed and low-loss device. This results in a 5% reduction in input power and a 44% reduction in the required cooling water.

The MK22B accommodates a frequency range of 100kHz to 350kHz at an output range of 80kW to 480kW. In case of short time heating, output power can be incresed. Refer to the following ratings for details.
