THE LIGHT IS LIT!

“Your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heav-enly Father” (Mt. 5:16). It is an invitation: “Let the light shine”, this could be the slogan of our Christian life. ARE YOU ALLOWING YOUR

LIGHT TO SHINE? God wants you to let your light shine. God assumes that you will do good deeds. You were created to do good works. You were created to allow your light to shine. You were created because of love and to love.

Each person lets their light shine in different manners. We all have a perfect mixture of talents and abilities. The danger is to fall into the trap of comparisons. Like the poem DESIDERATA says: “If you compare yourself to others you will feel vane and bitter. There will al-ways be persons who are bigger and smaller than you. Be happy like you are and with what you have.” It is useless to be preoccupied for the talents and abilities that other persons have. You do not need it to accomplish your mission. Dedicate yourself to do well. Let your light shine.

The resistance doesn’t want your light to shine; that you will lite other lights. They do not want you to place your lamp in a candlestick. They want you to hide your light underneath a bushel. And they absolutely do not want you to allow your light to shine; the resistance has many masks. What impedes you to allow your light to shine? Fear, laziness, egocentrism, conveniences, criticisms, discourage-ment, doubts, gossip, negative relationships, preoccupa-tions, excuses, and many other things.

God wants you to go beyond those bad mental habits, of body and soul and fill yourself with his grace and his valor so that you can go out to the world and allow your light to shine. You were created for the mission. You will never have everlasting happiness until you are aware of that and you respond as a consequence. In your prayers ask the Holy Spirit to help you discover the intension of your mission in this world. What are you doing with the talents and abilities that God gave you? Are you bettering the world where you live? It is time that you allow your light to shine. This life is the only opportunity we have to prepare ourselves for the final encounter with Christ. If we do not grow in Christian values, no one will do it for us.

LA LUZ ESTA ENCENDIDA!

"Hagan, pues que brille su luz ante los hom-bres y por ello den gloria al Padre que esta en los Cielos" (Mt. 5.16) Es una invitación: "Deja que tu luz brille", este podría ser el lema de nuestra vida cristiana. ESTAS DEJANDO QUE BRILLE TU LUZ? Dios quiere que dejes que tu luz brille...Dios asume que harás buenas obras. Tú fuis-te creado para hacer buena obras. Fuiste creado para dejar que tu luz brille. Fuiste creado por amor y para amar.

Cada perdona deja que su luz brille de una manera di-ferente. Todos tenemos una mezcla perfecta de talentos y habilidades. El peligro es caer en la trampa de las comparaciones. Como dice el poema DESIDERATA: "Si te comparas con los demás te sentirás vano y amar-gado... Siempre habrá persona más grandes y más pe-queñas que tu...Se feliz como eres y con lo que tie-nes..." Es inútil preocuparte por los talentos y habili-dades que tienen otras personas, tú no lo necesitas para cumplir tu misión. Dedícate a hacer el bien. Deja que tu luz brille!!!

La resistencia no quien que tu luz brille, que vayas en-cendiendo otras luces; no quieren que pongas tu lámpa-ra en un candelero. Quieren que esconda tu luz debajo de un cajón. Y no quieren que dejes que tu luz brille en lo absoluto.; la resistencia tiene mil mascaras. Que te impide dejar que tu luz brille? El temor , la pereza, el egoísmo, el comodísimo, las críticas, la desanimo, las dudas, el chisme, las relaciones negativas, las preo-cupaciones, las excusas y tantas otras cosas...

Dios quiere que vayas más allá de esos malos hábitos de mente, cuerpo y alma y llenarte con su gracia y su valor para que puedas salir al mundo y dejar que tu luz brille... Tú fuiste creado para la misión. Nunca ten-drá una felicidad duradera hasta que te des cuenta de eso y actué en consecuencia. En tu oración pídele al Espíritu Santo, te ayude a descubrir el propósito de tu misión en este mundo. Que estás haciendo con los talentos y habilidades que Dios te dio? Estas haciendo mejor el mundo dónde vives? Es hora que dejes que tu luz brille. Esta vida es la única oportunidad que tene-mos para prepararnos al encuentro final con Cris-to. Si no crecemos en los valores cr istianos, nadie lo hará por nosotros. Es tu decisión! Contigo, Rev. Wilson Cuevas, Pastor

Y otras te lo dará también a probar a ti. Y enton-ces sentirás una gran dulzura. Pero a ti no te interesa. No? O ibas a hacerte feliz tú ?

To pray is to give Jesus a jar full of water, as in Cana. Give Him my time, my attention, my love ... And let Him turn the water into wine. Sometimes He will taste it alone. And other times He will give it to you to try. And then you will feel a great sweetness. But you do not care. No? Or were you going to make yourself happy?
