iFilter is completely integrated
into AWRDE and easily
accessible.
Overview
Developed specically for synthesis of lumped-element and distributed lters,
iFilter brings useful lter synthesis to the integrated desktop. The module plugs
directly into the Microave Ofce design environment and is integrated as aizard ithin the Aw Design nvironment (AwD).
iFilters intuitive interface ill quickly have you designing lters, connecting
them directly to circuitry and making trade-offs that positively impact your
design. Once you are satised ith the performance and design of your
lter(s), youre ready to implement them in Microave Ofce softare via
automatic generation of schematics, graphs, and even tuning parameters and
optimization goals. Physical layout is automatically generated for distributed
designs, and design and optimization for lumped designs can be readily done
ith user-dened parts libraries.
iFilters physical layouts are automatically generated for distributed lters,hile lumped-element lters can be realized using an extensive library of
manufacturers components (inductors, capacitors, etc). Designers can vie
representations of the lter before it is exported to Microave Ofce softare.
Sitching from an annotated schematic vie to a physical vie or netlists
ith parametric information provides insight into the lters impedances and
resonances. iFilter softare also provides feedback on higher-order modes
and line idths for common characteristic impedances, and arns the user
if the desired characteristics of the lter are beyond the capabilities of a
specic topology. Additionally, iFilter performs accurate synthesis through
electromagnetic verication ith for instance, Aws AXM 3D planar M
simulator. This is especially important hen designing distributed lters.
