    Eligibility criteria: Target group 1

    Applicants must be registered at one of the Brazilianuniversities members of IBRASIL network at the timeof submitting their application

    Applicants of the target group 1 must have a formal linkand support of their universities (a letter of support)

    Publics concerned and duration of mobilityBrazilian applicants:

    - Undergraduate students: 1 or 2 semester(s)- Full Doctorate: 36 months- Sandwich Doctorates: 6 or 10 months

    - Staff: 1 month

    Eligibility criteria: Target group 2

    Applicants must be registered in a Brazilian universitynot member of IBRASIL network

    or

    Applicants must have obtained a degree from aBrazilian university (member or non-partner of IBRASIL)but are not currently enrolled

    Publics concerned and duration of mobility- Undergraduate students: 1 or 2 semester(s)- Full Doctorate: 36 months- Sandwich Doctorates: 6 or 10 months

    Eligibility criteria: Target group 3

    Applicants who hold Brazilian nationality and are in a particularly vulnerable situation forsocial and political reasons. This group includes, for example, those who:

    have refugee status or asylum beneficiaries (international or according to thenational legislation of one of the European recipient countries),

    or

    have been the object of unjustified expulsion from university on racial, ethnic,religious, political, gender or sexual inclination, etc.

    or

    belong to an indigenous population targeted by a specific national policy or IDPs(Internally Displaced Persons)

    Publics concerned and duration of mobility- Undergraduate students: 1 or 2 semester(s)- Full Doctorate: 36 months

    Eligibility criteria for all types ofmobility

    Applicants must : Hold Brazilian nationality;

    Must have not resided nor have carried out their main activity

    (studies, work, etc) for more than a total of 12 months over the lastfive years in any of the eligible European countries at the time ofsubmitting their application to the partnership;

    Must have sufficient knowledge of the language of the courses orof one of the languages currently spoken in the host European

    countries

    Comply with any specific and additional criteria applicable to eachtype of mobility

    Applicants must not have Benefited in the past from an Erasmus

    Mundus scholarship for the same type of mobility

    Eligibility criteria for Doctorateand Undergraduate students

    Undergraduate applicants must havesuccessfully completed at least one year ofstudies in their home institution

    Doctorate applicants must have alreadycompleted their Master degree. If applying for aSandwich mobility (6 or 10 months), they mustbe enrolled in a Doctorate course at their home

    university

    Eligibility criteria for staff mobility

    Academic and Administrative staff must:

    - Hold Brazilian nationality;

    - Work in a Brazilian university member ofIBRASIL network (Target Group 1) or for anon-partner university (Target Group 2)

    In addition to these criteria, there may be other defined

    by each partner university of IBRASIL. These criteriawill be specified to the applicants.

    expenses for all scholarships holders

    The unit cost applied corresponds to the directdistance between the location of origin anddestination

    Depending on the Target Group, the location oforigin can be the location of the sendinginstitution (TG1), the place of origin (TG2) or

    the place of residence (TG3)

    Insurance

    Each scholarship holder will be provided with aninsurance coverage in full compliance with Annex IXMinimum Insurance Requirements of the Grant

    Agreement. Scholarship holders will be covered since their

    departure, during their stay, until the moment they

    return home The insurance covers: illness, accident, death,

    permanent disability, third-party liability, suicide,

    pregnancy, etc.
