How To Force Windows 10 to Install Non Digitally Signed Drivers

Note: In the steps that follow, you will be required to restart your PC. During the restart, you won’t be
able to reference this document, if viewing it on the subject PC. You may want to consider printing out
these instructions or opening them on your phone or tablet for reference during the PC settings
modification process.
1. Click on the Windows icon (previously the Start button in earlier version of Windows). It’s in the
lower left corner of the Taskbar.
2. Select Settings (circled in red in screenshot below).
3. Click on “Update and Security”
4. Click on Recovery.
5. Under Advanced Setup, click on “Restart Now”. This will initiate the computer reboot process, so
don’t click on it before saving any open files to prevent losing your work.
6. A screen will appear with three options. Click on “Troubleshoot”.
7. Click on “Advanced Options”
8. Click on “Startup Settings”.
9. Click on “Restart”
10. Type the number “7” on your computer’s keyboard to disable driver signature enforcement.
11. Your PC will restart. It might take a couple minutes to reboot.
12. Login to your PC.
13. Download FlashUpdate from http://www.appliedin.com/downloads/flashupdatezip.exe

14. Refer to the meter’s Operation Manual or Quick Start Guide for more details about updating the
meter’s software.
