Prepare the Host Platform
• Intel Pentium III 550-MHz Class host System
• 256M of RAM
• Red Hat 7.3 Linux
( Everything option installed )
• Red Hat 8.0 and 9.0 distribution are not supported at this time.

Install the Tool Chain
• Tool Chain can be obtained from ftp://ftp.ges.redhat.com/private/gnupro-xscale-030422
• Extract the install script
• As root, install the tool chain

Set UP the Tool Chain
• Create the symbolic links for arm-elf to their xscale-elf equivalents using these commands.
• To ensure that the correct tool chain is used, add it to your PATH.

Obtain the RedBoot Source Code
• Make a working directory for the build.
• Obtain the certified Red Hat RedBoot source code (redboot-intel-xscale-031212.tar.Z) from the following site :ftp://ftp.ges.redhat.com/private/gnupro-xscale-030422
• Untar the RedBoot source
