An exciting event is going to

happen at Meadow Heights

Primary School on TOMORROW (Friday 7th Novem-

ber). This event is a talent show – Meadow Height’s Primary School’s Got Talent and will be held outside

on the basketball court (weather permitting). There

will be two shows: 9:30am – 11am and 11:30 – 1pm.

Our Glee Club as well as some students in Years 2 to

6 have been selected to perform a range of acts. We

urge parents and caregivers to come along and see

the tremendous talent we have at our school.

JUST A THOUGHT: Reading Parents and teachers agree that reading is a very important part of a child’s education. We all want our children to be good readers. For some children this may come naturally, but for others it may take some time and lots of practice. To become good readers, children should want to read. Reading needs to be seen as an enjoyable activity and not a daily chore. Good reading habits often begin well before children learn to read. This occurs when parents read to their children at home or are seen reading magazines and newspapers. Children of all ages enjoy a shared story – bedtime stories are great and promote a real sense of togetherness. Encourage reading in quiet times or in a quiet place in the home. Families can join local libraries and borrow books together. Regular borrowing should be encouraged from the school library. These should be treated with respect and returned on time. Give books as gifts. Allow your child to have a personal bookshelf within easy reach and encourage the buying of books through Book Club. Reading should be seen to have a value and purpose around your home. Develop good reading habits in your child and they will last a lifetime.

CAC TAI NĂNG CUA TRƯƠNG TIÊU HOC MEADOW HEIGHTS Ngay Mai Thư Sau 07/11/2014 sẽ có môt sự kiện thú vị xảy ra tai trương Tiểu Hoc Meadow Heights. Sự kiện nay la môt cuôc thi tai năng tai

trương tiểu hoc Meadow Heights va sẽ được tổ chưc bên ngoai trên sân bóng rổ (nếu thơi tiết cho phép). Sẽ có hai chương trình: 09:30am-

11:00am va 11:30am-13:00pm. Câu lac bô Glee Club của chúng tôi cũng như môt số hoc sinh hoc lơp 2 đến lơp 6 đã được chon để trình diên môt

số hoat đông. Chúng tôi kêu goi cac bậc cha mẹ va ngươi chăm sóc hãy cung đến trương va xem cac tai năng phi thương của trương chúng ta. Rât

mong găp cac ban ơ đó!

Chi la 1 Y Tương: Đoc Sach Cac Phu huynh va Cac giao viên đêu đồng ý rằng đoc sach la môt phần rât quan trong trong việc giao duc môt đưa trẻ. Chúng ta muốn tât cả cac trẻ

em của chúng ta la đôc giả gioi. Đối vơi môt số trẻ em điêu nay có thể đến môt cach tự nhiên, nhưng đối vơi nhưng trẻ em khac nó có thể mât môt

thơi gian va cần rât nhiêu thực hanh. Để trơ thanh ngươi đoc sach gioi, trẻ em cần nên thich đoc sach. Đoc sach cần phải được xem như la môt hoat

đông thú vị va không phải la môt việc lăt văt hang ngay.

Thói quen đoc sach tốt thương băt đầu trươc khi trẻ em hoc tập đoc. Điêu nay xảy ra khi cha mẹ đoc sach cho con cai của ho ơ nha hoăc được nhìn

thây đoc bao va tap chi. Trẻ em ơ moi lưa tuổi đêu thich cung thương thưc, chia sẻ môt câu chuyện – Thật tuyệt vơi khi đoc nhưng câu chuyện

trươc khi đi ngủ va điêu nay sẽ thúc đẩy môt cảm giac thực sự liên kết vơi nhau. Khuyến khich đoc sach trong thơi gian yên tĩnh hoăc ơ môt nơi

sach thương xuyên tư thư viện trương hoc. Nhưng điêu nay nên được đối xử tôn trong va trả sach lai đúng thơi han. Hãy cho cuốn sach lam qua

tăng. Cho phép con ban có môt tủ sach ca nhân có thể dê dang lây được va khuyến khich việc mua sach qua Book Club.

Việc đoc sach nên được coi la 1 việc có gia trị va có muc đich trong nha của ban. Phat triển thói quen đoc sach tốt cho con ban va chúng sẽ kéo dai

suốt cả đơi.
