GzaGza Seminegra draws its inspriation fromfrench oldstyle typefaceDevinne byGustav Schroeder from concerning

the need of plainer types of display and areturn to the simplicity of the true old-stylecharacter. Gzas strong color, apertures,stroke contrast and proportions are designedto excell as a body typeface in small sizes.

The brutality of the triangle serifs and itspointed shapes contrast with the dropshaped endings. This clash of two formalprinciples makes it perfectly suitable as adisplay typeface too. Gza comes with

a distinctive, yet very legible italic version.
