Industry EnvironmentVending Machine (VEM), according to our marketing research, will

have a large market and needs in SCNU, because we don’t have vending machines in most of places in our school.

Data show that we have in total 57 volunteers to help us finish our questionnaire. Firstly, 77.19% of the students have the habit

eating snacks, Secondly, 64.91% of the students occasionally tend to go down dormitories or teaching buildings to convenience

stores to buy snacks though they really want to eat them. Thirdly, just 2 students will not use VEM if there is one.

Therefore, we can draw a conclusion that we have a good industry environment and promising market. Although

convenience stores are our competitors, their location actually is inconvenient for our students, so we’re convinced that VEM will have a great prospect in our university for it provides us a new

and comfortable way to meet our demands.

What kind of needs are still be unsatisfied?

Besides products like snacks, drinks, facial tissues something very essential and basic which we can provide for students, there are other several products and services we can offer to them:

۞ Imitating foreign countries, we can put current newspapers, magazines, stamps, even some fresh salads into our VEM.

۞ We can make some bargains or discounts for our students, arousing their purchasing need to using our VEM.

۞ Also we can set up a VIP system which asks students to log in their own account and record their purchasing times. If someone’s records reach to a certain quantity, they will receive a delicate and beautiful gift from us, which is our considerate service.

Consumer can buy quickly like facial tissue, snacks, soft drink and sanitary towel.

Our product will be cheaper than the product in the store. (Because the channels of distribution is direct channels which involves no intermediaries.)

We put small size vending machine in dormitory and popular product inside it so that the product can be run out and renewed quickly.

★Retailers

★We don’t operate in traditional stores.

★Consumer can buy the convenience goods quickly like facial tissue, snacks, soft drink and sanitary towel through vending machine which located in their dormitory.

★Despite its higher operational costs most customers feel that the convenience offered by the machines more than offsets the added costs they have to pay.

★ Every 2 machines will be put in each dormitory.

★ Each machine cost about ¥ 15000. And we must pay about ¥ 200000 totally.
