Dear Graduates,

At this time you are graduating from the School of Fine Arts at the Mongolian State University of Arts and Culture, being majored in a delicate profession of a painter and an artist. A complicated and full of intricacies, but also a unique, happy and hardworking life of an artist is ahead of you. There’s no doubt that you will overcome complexity of life and become well-known artists who will glory the name of our country by your artworks globally.

Today the time has come to you to work, create, and serve for your homeland. Learning does not finish as you graduate from the university; it goes on when you are on your path of further work, art creation and learning in a “life school”, which are all for human perfection. Your parents, professors and your nation, who seek not only to educate you, but to make you a good per-son, truly believe that you will become a shining star in the art world of your country. We wish you, our graduates and young artists, who are taking your first steps into the art world, to become creators of the best and unique master-pieces in the world!

Gantumur L.

Minister for Education and Science of Mongolia

If it is possible to find out something general in human ideology, that would be the only guarantee of human future – arts and aesthetics which may exist only in human beings. Therefore, in the universe of a human spirit, aesthetic issues are considered as the first priority. Our ancestors have enriched our national and ethnic cultural heritages by their creations and artworks over the centuries. Thus, Mongolians’ contribution to the human cultural heritage is enormous. I believe that you will enrich, develop, and perpetuate this great culture intercon-necting it to this historical period, creativity, and arts.

I wish you – the students graduating successfully from your school today and entering to the holly journey to craft human mind by beauty and humanism, to be successful in your artwork.

I wish the nature, animals, proud and instructive history of our country and people have a leading role in your artworks and I want you to emphasize to retain through the arts the common values of humanity.

Oyungerel Ts.

Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Mongolia

Wish your destination to pursue get closer. Artists are ones who are enviably happy, and, in other hand, extremely free. Artists analyze hundreds of thousands matters and occasions happening in the world by their talents, feelings, intellects, vatic eyes and minds, and can show their own “words” to whoever and wherever.

The world is open in front of you, today’s students or future artists. As you are becoming artists, how would colors, shadows and lights, a snow, rain and wind, the sun and the moon, wish and desire, a human world be reflected in your vatic eyes? Not everyone, who holds a bachelor's degree diploma, can be an artist. This diploma is just a starting point. In order to become an artist, you need lots of efforts, hardworking and exploration, and you may need to overcome solitudes, sufferings, dead-ends or agonies.

I really want you to become proud of you being a Mongolian by reading, knowing and understanding the Mongolian history, get familiarized with artworks of international artists, travel around the world to open your eyes, and bravely try your abilities for reforms but keep being loyal to the traditions. The Mongolian fine art is an eternal ocean, which has a history passing through hundreds of centuries and the special and noticeable characteristics. As you know, an ocean is not always calm; sometimes it waves, roughens, trembles and gushes. Like that, fight, compete, argue and bring new trends by your works! Create different worlds! Dream on! Go forward!

Students who could outperform their teachers are considered to be good students. Teachers who have created such students are glorified forever. I hope that gifted artists, who glorify their teachers and the school, are rising among you.

Injinash, poet, novelist and historian, said “If you cannot touch hearts of people, for what you would move a pencil?” These words are also addressed to you, young artist. For graduates from the School of Fine Arts, the Mongolian State University of Arts and Culture in 2014, I wish your destination to pursue will get closer.

Sonintogos E., PhD.

President of the Mongolian State University of Arts and Culture

Your once in a lifetime experience as a student has left in the past and a great life journey and special and limitless fine art world are welcoming you to rate your persistence, skill, intelligence, and dreams which you acquired from your school.

Graduates! A historical 70th year anniversary of establishing our school is in the upcoming year. We are preparing for the anniversary from now. As all of our graduates are aware of, in the scope of anniversary preparation work, this academic year we are implementing three projects devoted to improvement of our training technology and facili-ties. We are glad to share the news that the traditional exhibition for our graduates’ diploma works has exceeded beyond our audience and agreed to be held at the Chong Nam University of Republic of Korea in May, and in Berlin, Federal Republic of Germany in June.

In the framework of the anniversary preparation, a school tie “Ergekh Kholboo” (Feedback) which united hereditary graduates of our school has been established. It makes it possible for you to keep a good and con-stant relationship with your school, to upgrade your knowledge, profession and education through your study in postgraduate programs afterward, and to co-create artworks with your teachers in the future. The school manage-ment team and your teachers hope that you will become active members of the school tie. Dear Graduates! Many national and international galleries and museums, colleagues and peer artists are looking forward to be collaborating with you. With this I’d like to express how I am proud of you.

May I wish you happiness, and a great success in your artworks!
