A chairde,
Ta suil agam go bhfuil sibh uilig slan sabhailte sa bhaile.
I hope that you are all keeping well at this time.
Tuigim go hiomlan go bhfuil chuile sheans nach mbeidh daoine in ann billeoga a phriondail go heasca faoi lathair. Ta na billeoga sa bhfilltean seo curtha le cheile mar threor agus tacaiocht do thuisti agus do phaisti. Sheets in this folder have been put together as a guide/ suggestions for parents and children at this time. It may understandably not be possible to print out pages at home. Work can be completed in copies / pages if printing is not an option. It is not expected that children would complete every page.
Moltar daoibh leas a bhaint as an bhfilltean seo mar ‘biachlar’ in ait ‘oideas’.
Work in this folder is to be treated as a ‘menu’ to dip in and out of and not as a ‘prescription’.

WRITING We are looking forward to learning about recount writing.
Sample of Recount Writing
I want to tell you about something interesting that I made. It was very easy and I had all the ingredients at home.
First I got a banana and chopped it up and popped it in the freezer. (I put the skin in the bin!)
Then I waited patiently for an hour.
Next I got some frozen strawberries and one cup of oat milk.
Finally I put everything in the blender and pressed ‘start’.
It made the most delicious smoothie ever. I would definitely recommend that you try it for yourself!
Practice Recount Writing
Tell the story above …
Who? Remember to make up names for the characters in your story
Where ? You get to decide where the party is happening.
Why? Have a look at the cake. How many candles are there on the cake ?
