Give it a Go Salsa DancingSunday 15th September 7:30-9pmGet your pulses racing with some silky smooth Salsa moves! Learn to dance salsa with experienced tutors, have fun and get to know new people. IKEA TripMonday 16th SeptemberJoin us for a day of shopping at West Quay in Southampton. A great chance to buy what you need for your flat or house! Bring a shopping bag! The coach departs from Cambridge Road 10am and Langstone Campus 10:15am. Leaving Southampton at 5pm. Ticket Cost £13

Sports Taster SessionsFriday 20th September 11-5pm Come along to our sports drop in sessions to see the the variety that the Athletic Union has to offer. Be it a sport you’ve played at school or a sport you’ve never heard of, we have something for everyone! Halls Sports DayWednesday 25th September 12pm onwards There really is no better way to get to know others in your halls! Get involved in some team-building and sporting fun at this year’s Halls Sports Day including games such as tug-of-war, and the classic track races such as the sack race, three-legged race and the egg and spoon. There will also be a variety of sports taster sessions (football, rugby, dodgeball, netball, badminton and volleyball) to have a go at. No need to book, just turn up. Give "Dance" a GoWednesday 25th September & Wednesday 2nd October / 2-3pm, 3-4pm & 4-5pmJoin the Dance Club to try out 3 styles of dance - Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary. These dance sessions are ideal for anyone, whatever your previous experience. Enjoy an exciting social atmosphere as well as keeping fit. Give "Dinghy Sailing" a GoSaturday 28th September 12pm onwardsJoin the Sailing Club for a short session of dinghy sailing with an experienced member of the team who will introduce you to the sport as well as what it’s like to be a member of our club. Bring a wetsuit (if you have one), If not bring old clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit wet (including shoes). Also bring a towel and a warm spare change of clothes.The sessions will be run on hourly rotations, dependent on interest, so make sure to register at the email address provided. Give it a Go Orienteering & Geocaching at the Queen Elizabeth Country ParkTuesday 1st October 12pm-5pmLove a challenge? Join us for a visit to Hampshire’s biggest Country park with 2,000 acres of open access woodland and dowland. There will be 3 activities available which everyone will get a chance to try. First take on the orienteering challenge - test your navigational skills using a map to navigate from post to post, secondly give geocaching a go - the global outdoor treasure hunt using GPS, then finally head up Butser Hill, the highest view point in Hampshire! Wear strong boots or shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather conditions. Bring a bottle of water. Line DancingMonday 7th October 8-8:45pmYeeha! Ever tried out Line Dancing? Join us for an exciting evening mixed with laughing, fun and enjoyment, and even a bit of exercise thrown in. Oakleaf Brewery TourMonday 14th October 6pm - 9pmTake a trip on the ferry across to the Gosport based brewery for an informative tour of a traditional working brewery. See it in action and sample a selection of fine ales. Tickets include ferry, tour and 3 pints of ale.(For over 18’s only).Meet at the Hard (near Portsmouth Harbour train station), PO1 3EB. Beginner's Ski Lessons & Donutting (not the baked good!)Wednesday 16th OctoberGet to grips with the basics of skiing at the Alpine Snowsports centre in Southampton. You’ll be taught to ski in a 1 hr beginner’s session, followed by a bit of donutting! Donutting involves an adrenaline-fuelled ride down the slope while you hang on to an inflatable donut shaped ring! Come on, now that’s sounds fun!The coach departs from Cambridge Road 3:30pm leaving Southampton at approx 8:30pm.Ticket cost £31

Weekend Trip to Liverpool & ManchesterFriday 18th October - Sunday 20th OctoberTake the weekend to explore two of the biggest cities in the North of England - Liverpool and Manchester. Liverpool: The Beatles! Enough said really! Both cities boast a wealth of visitor attractions including shops, cathedrals and museums. Manchester is home to the world’s most famous football team Manchester United! Ticket includes: return coach travel and 2 nights bed and breakfast in lovely Liverpool. Zombie Bus TourMonday 28th October 7-8:30pm or 9-10:30pmJoin us for a terrifying zombie bus tour around Portsmouth’s most haunted places. Frights and delights guaranteed! The Zombie Bus will leave from Cambridge Road at 7pm and 9pm. Ticket cost £25

Scavenger HuntTuesday 29th October 12-3pmCome and take part in this fantastic Scavenger Hunt around the University campus. You will be given clues to solve which you will need to crack before moving on to the next one. The aim of the hunt is to complete the route in the quickest time possible as well as collect evidence that you’ve been there. There will be prizes for the winning teams. Come as a team or an individual and enjoy an afternoon of fun. Across campus. Children welcome but must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Child ticket is same price as an adult ticket.Ticket cost £3.50

Pumpkin CarvingThursday 31st October 5-7pmIts Hallowe’en! Try making your own traditional Jack o’Lantern. Learn about the traditions of pumpkin carving as well as having lots of fun making your own! We have a range of spooky stencils to use, or you can design your own. At the end you can take your pumpkin home with you. Outside the Union Building, Cambridge Road entrance. Children welcome but must be supervised by a parent/guardian. Child ticket is same price as an adult ticket.Ticket cost £3.50

Give "Aikido" a GoMonday 11th November 6:45-9pmThis taster session offers an insight into a unique type of martial art. Its movements focus on blending with the energy of an attacker and moving them effortlessly off balance without opposing them or attempting to cause harm. Wear sports clothing (no jeans). Trip to London - Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park and Wicked the musical!Thursday 28th NovemberGet in the Christmas spirit early at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. Spend the day enjoying the festive atmosphere while you walk through the glittering Christmas markets, visit the Famous Bavarian village, and taste some of the delights at a wealth of cafes, bars and eateries! Then in the evening, head to the Apollo Victoria Theatre for Wicked, the spectacular multi-award winning stage musical. Wicked provides a shocking backstory to explain how the Witches of Oz earned their reputations as Glinda the Good and The Wicked Witch of the West long before Dorothy arrived on the scene!
