Meet Some ofOur LecturersThroughout my life I have been very lucky and I nd the harder I work, the bettermy luck gets. For many years I lecturered at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh whilesimultaneously starting and developing a Management Consultancy which continuesto work throughout Europe. My public ethos has seen me appointed to variousGovernment commissions and task forces in the area of Enterprise and Social Enterpriseand I have written several books on these topics. Finally I derive much pleasure from the

broadcasting work I do for the BBC with much fun being had in the comedy shows inwhich I perform. Life is good and we should work hard to make it better for everyone.

    Ray Donnelly R.D. M.Ed. M.B.A. Ph.D

I have had both a business and an academic career, working for British Steel in Scotlandand Lloyds the Underwriters in London, and teaching at Manchester MetropolitanUniversity and Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. My background is in IT, and in the80s I switched to Occupational Psychology, gaining a PhD from Manchester University.I have published numerous papers and books and am currently director of a managementconsultancy. My interests include history, golf, and metal detecting. Married, with adaughter.

    Howard Kahn MA, MSc, PhD

At present I am a part-time tutor and mentor for college lecturers enrolled on the PG andUG Teaching Qualication Further Education at the University of Dundee. I also work asa consultant in Scotlands colleges providing support for staff undertaking professionaldevelopment awards. I have over 25 years experience in the post-compulsory educationsector as a lecturer in business education, senior lecturer, head of department, qualityof learning and teaching manager and director of curriculum. During this time I wasseconded to Her Majestys Inspectorate of Education as an Associate Assessor and also

to the Scottish Qualications Authority as an External Verier and Principal Examiner atAdvanced Higher level.Moira A Glencorse MSc, DipCom, TQFE

Twenty years ago I jumped from managing an agency into the salary-less and draughtyworld of self-employment, designing courses on the soft skills areas of management. Itwas the right decision. It gave me the opportunity to explore also an intriguing formof painting, the ancient art form of using pigmented beeswax. Creativity in the formsof painting commissions, garden design and writing poetry reect my zest for life inboth work and play. Thus I teach management and enterprise and organise a busyconsultancy while indulging myself in my other interests. No one says at the end: I wishId spent more time at the office!
