BACKGROUND CHECKS• Depending on the location, project, and

employee(s), G.A.S. may request a background check, physical and/or drug screen. When possible, G.A.S. will interview candidates in person. When face-to-face interview is not possible, G.A.S. uses video/teleconferencing for the pre-employment interview.

COMPENSATION• Depending on the assignment location,

G.A.S. will either offer a local compensation package or use a hybrid approach to create an attractive package based on their home and host country markets, where project allows.

• For Locals, G.A.S. offers local compensation packages.

• G.A.S. uses market research and home and host country tax data to create non-US compensation packages.

HOST COUNTRY ACCOMMODATIONS• G.A.S. will either provide housing/local

transportation/meals or provide allowances/uplifts to supplement the cost of living away from home. The provisions can be based on location, family status, availability, employee preference, etc.

• For Locals, usually nothing is required unless they are living away from home (different city). In this case, G.A.S. would provide a package similar to the above.

INSURANCE• For Expats, OCNs and Locals required to travel, G.A.S. provides an Expat Medical Plan for all global

employees while traveling between assignments, before/between/after full medical coverage begins/ends, and for business trips. This coverage includes emergency evacuation and repatriation, and where necessary overlaps our local medical coverage for emergency evacuation and repatriation.

• G.A.S. provides, in line with the statutory requirements in the host country, and where available, full medical coverage options for employees and families, depending on location, family status and employee preference.

• G.A.S. also provides and maintains all host country statutory insurance requirements such as general liability, workers' compensation, unemployment and other applicable statutory insurance requirements in the country.

ON-BOARDING PROCESSES• Depending on the location, project, types and numbers of

employees, G.A.S. will either take care of on-boarding procedures with the Meet and Greet or shortly after. Many of the documents and requirements can also be completed during pre-departure counseling.

• G.A.S. usually develops on-boarding procedure(s) based on the host country norms, especially for locals, and adapt where required for project, company, client specifics.

GLOBAL CAPABILITIES

TAX• For Expats, G.A.S. provides basic guidance in

tax compliance. G.A.S. also offers tax counseling pre-departure, during assignment and post-departure, where applicable.

• For Locals, no tax guidance is provided unless a need arises due directly to project work.

• G.A.S. follows host country tax reporting and remittance guidelines for Locals and Expats.

TRAVEL• For Expats, and based on project terms and conditions, G.A.S.

provides roundtrip airfare to and from site location, business class where applicable. G.A.S. provides pre-departure counseling, airport transportation and local Meet & Greet.

• Travel Days, Settling in Period, Excess Baggage Allowance - all can be provided based on project terms and conditions.

• For Locals and OCNs, where travel is required and depending on destination, G.A.S. provides some or all of above.

GLOBAL CAPABILITIES

LEAVE• For Expats and OCNs, Leave Entitlements are usually

defined by project terms and conditions and can be based on location, family status and employee preference.

• For Rotators, G.A.S. follows the project rotation schedule.

• For Locals, G.A.S. always provides the statutory leave (holidays, vacation, etc) for that country. In most locations, G.A.S. provides the "corporate norm" (additional holidays, vacation, etc.), which is usually above the statutory requirements, where allowed by project.
