Our beverage menu

To show you how serious Muffin Break is about its coffee range we have our own master roaster. Their job is to carefully select only the highest quality Arabica beans from eight different locations around the world to ensure our signature blend continues its run as award winning.

Training Facility Foodco also has a training facility that offers initial and ongoing training to franchisees in all aspects of coffee, so that franchises can

carry on staffing trained baristas to freshly grind every cup to create only the finest aromatic coffee.

Barista Competition Each year Muffin Break hosts a barista competition whereby store baristas are assessed, and successful staff proceed to the final, to battle it out for the title of Muffin Break Barista of the Year.

You’re never alone The support and training you can expect from Muffin Break is comprehensive and thorough. Here is a summary of each relevant department and the support on offer to our franchisees.

OUR business consultants, coffee consultants, and specialist food trainers wILL provide YOU WITH ALL THE SUPPORT YOU NEED

Foodco’s Development team provide assistance with; site selection, lease negotiations including new site and renewals and sale of existing franchise business. This department is also responsible for recruiting new franchisees as well as building and maintaining relationships with lessors to promote domestic and international growth.

The Store Design and Construction team coordinates and assists with; new store design, refurbishing existing stores, liaising with franchisees and lessor architects in achieving final designs, tendering of projects and determining cost expenditures. Sourcing and appointing suppliers and contractors to carry out works and project managing all fit-outs, store construction, equipment procurement all of which is tailored to suit local conditions.

Foodco’s Operation team consists of a dynamic group of skilled personnel who provide support in a number of key areas to drive efficiencies including labour management, rostering systems, maintaining cost of goods (COGS) business plan preparation and review as well as in-the-field support from coffee making to food preparation, and customer service.

The Product department oversees the product development, innovation, sourcing and supply of products for Muffin Break – both domestically and internationally.

Franchisee owners have access to the Muffin Break e-learning facility

The support and training you can expect from Muffin Break is comprehensive and thorough.

Comprehensive initial and ongoing training is provided for owners of franchised and licenced businesses in relevant areas of business and operations. This training is delivered in the Foodco Training Centre in Sydney, in the field by experienced trainers and through online training modules to ensure staff are well equipped with the latest training information.

The Legal department undertakes a wide range of the legal work of the business. This includes preparing and managing franchise documentation, facilitating shop sales, providing legal advice, negotiating agreements, drafting contracts, reviewing marketing and other public domain materials, resolving issues of conflict that may arise, instructing external lawyers where required and developing and managing intellectual property rights.

The IT department, which is comprised of an I.T. systems manager and several I.T. support administrators, have two key responsibilities. The first is to support the franchisee point of sale network; and the second is to support the I.T. requirements of office personnel. The I.T. department is also involved in the identification of new technology platforms to assist in business development.

The Marketing department develops and executes marketing and promotional strategies to foster sales growth for Muffin Break. It also provides a strong support network to franchisees to deliver relevant and targeted local area marketing initiatives as well as innovative national campaigns. The marketing department is responsible for research and maintaining brand consistency across the entire network.
