慈、悲、喜、舍Love, Compassion, Joy, Equanimity

所緣眾生既無量，能緣之心也無量；利生之心既無量，培德植福也無量。

How wonderful it would be if all sentient beings had happiness and its causes. May they have these. I shall cause them to have these.

慈

How wonderful it would be if all sentient beings were free fromsuffering and its causes. May they be free. I shall cause them to be free.

悲

How wonderful it would be if all sentient beings were never separated from sorrowless bliss. May they never be separated. I shall cause them never to be separated.

喜

How wonderful it would be if all sentient beings were to abide in equanimity, free of bias, attachment and anger May they abide in this way. I shall cause them to abide in this way.
