GmailMadeLabelsEasierIfyouarenota[Gmail]user,youprobablystilluseandgatheryouremailsintomanyfolders.WhenGmailcameoutApril1,2004,byinvitationonly,thechangedthewayofemailbyholdingallofyouremailmessagesintheinbox(notfolders)andapplyinglabelstoaselectedmessage.Thisallowedpeopletosearchthroughtheirmessagesinonespot,insteadofhuntandpeakingthrougheachfoldertryingtorememberwhereyoufiledit.Inaddition,justlikefoldersthelabelscanbeusedasafilterforanyincomingmessage.Whatwastheproblemwithlabels?Nothingwrongwiththeideaorconcept,butitjustwasnotuserfriendlyoritwasjustasuserfriendlyasifyouweretousethefoldermethod.Theproblemwasthatinordertoapplyalabel,youwouldhavetoselectyourmessage(s),thenclick"applylabel"or"moveto...".Thisprocesswouldapplythelabelyouwantedtotheselectedmessage(s),butitalsowasatediousaction.Solution:Basically,thepeopleatGooglesawmoreusersbegantouselabelswhentheywentfromtheoriginalsetuptitled"labels"tothelatestsetupcalled"moveto".Thisplayonwordsandnewwayofapplyingalabelallowednewuserstocometoabetterunderstandingthatthesearenotfolders(asshownbelow).
But,Googlewentfartheryesterdaybymakingtheprocess,Imentionedabove,mucheasier.Thehighlightsofthechangearethattheymovedthelabelswiththe"section"titles(liketheInboxandSpam),madeitpossibletosimplyselectanddragmessagestoalabel,andfinallydothecompleteoppositebydraggingalabeltoanyselectedmessages.

DesktopPCTakingaBow[Gizmodo]reportedthatdesktopPCshaveofficiallybeenrunoverbyabulldozer.Theysaythatthesalesfordesktopshavedeclinedalmost23%duringoneyear.Then[Lifehacker]askedifthiswasreallytruetopeoplelikeyou.Afterreadingthecomments,peoplemade,somesaythatdesktoparegreatformakinganyupgradesthattheactualhardware,butlackthefast‐pacingessentialstoday.HereiswhyIthinkGizmodoiscorrectinsayingtheyaredead...Seeingtheonlyreasonreallytogetadesktopisthepossibilitytoupgradethecomponentsinsideandgethigherperformanceforthemoney.Buttheylackthefunctionabilitydemands.Nowwiththeinventionof[Netbooks]andtheever‐popularlaptops,desktopswillbeleftbehind.IfIweretogetadesktop,Iwouldhavetogetadeskandanicecomfyofficechair,becausethatpieceofhardwarewillalwaysbeparkedthere.Instead,Iwouldrathergetalaptopthathasjustaboutthesameperformanceassomedesktops,butIcancarry,bring,anduseitprettymuchanywhere.Withtheworlddemandinghigheruseoftechnology,alaptopallowsyoutobringthattechnologywithyouwheneveryoumightneedit.Desktopsitsbackathomeorworkandbegsforattention.

Windows7DoesNotCauseHeadachesMicrosoftjustmighthavecreatedasuccessfuloperatingsystem.Wait,theyhaveanditincorporatessomefeaturesthattheMacOShasbeendoingforyears.Soifyouthinkaboutit,itisalmostlikeWindowsandMacgotintoablenderandoutcamemoreaspectsofaPC,sotheynameditWindows7.Butseriously,fromseeingthe[features]andreadingthe[latestnews]onWindows7,ifyouareaPCuserpre‐orderyourstoday.Manyofyou,talkingtoPCusers,stillhave[WindowsXP]andthatisbecauseyouknewthatthe[Vista]operatingsystemwasanepicfailureandyouwantedyourPCtorunandnotcauseyoumanyheadaches.Windows7willnotcauseheadaches(atleastnotasmuch).[ViewaYouTubevideo]thathighlightsallthefeaturesofthenewWindows7.
