Los siete pasos para programar Eficiente el Flexnet DC (FN-DC)
Existen siete valores básicos que, cuando se programan, se activa una
herramienta de medición potente
1. Introducir total amperios-hora correctos del banco de baterías.
2. Activar los shunts correctos.
3. Introducir los amperios de retorno.
4. Introducir el voltaje de fin de carga.
5. Introducir el tiempo de espera que los parámetros fuesen cumplidos.
6. Factor de carga de las baterías deben ser validados.
7. Sincronización con el FN-DC y el banco totalmente cargado.
Antes de iniciar estos pasos es útil comenzar en un punto conocido que consiste en
cargar a las baterías con los parámetros de carga sugeridos por la fabrica. Los siguientes
siete pasos básicamente establecerán los parámetros de lo que el FN-DC detectará como un
banco de batería con una carga completa. Usted será la supervisión de la primera

Pasó # 1: Introducir total amperios-hora correctos del banco de baterías. Mate Tradicional: Para introducir los amperios-hora ir a ADV / (ingresar la contraseña
141) / DC / Presione BAT. Ingrese los amperios-hora usando los botones INC y DEC. Este
valor esta basado en una velocidad de descarga de 20 horas.
Mate3: Para introducir los amperios-hora ir a LOCK / USER / (ingresar la contraseña 141)
/ SETTINGS / SYSTEM. . Ingrese los amperios-hora usando los botones INC y DEC. Este
valor esta basado en una velocidad de descarga de 20 horas.
Pasó # 2: Activar los Shunt(s). Sólo active los shunts respectivos que estarán en uso.
ADV / (introducir la contraseña 141) / DC / Shunts.
Se puede confirmar cuales shunts están activados yendo a la pantalla principal del mate ir a
STATUS / DC / METER. Usted debe notar que cuando se cargan las baterías están
recibiendo un número positivo y un valor negativo cuando la corriente esta saliendo de las
baterías. Si lo contrario está sucediendo es necesario cambiar la polaridad de los cables del
FN-DC o shunts.
Pasó # 3: Introducir los amperios de retorno. Amperios de retorno, ADV / DC / CHARGE Este es el tipo de carga que se espera que se
devuelva a sus baterías cuando estén llenas o acercándose a su totalidad. Este valor se
obtiene en un porcentaje del total amperios-hora de su banco de baterías. Este valor puede ser
obtenido por su fabricante de la batería. 2% de su total amperios-horas es un buen valor
predeterminado para establecer nuestra base. Por ejemplo, de 250 amperios-hora del banco
de baterías con una velocidad de descarga 20hr con un valor del 2% de los amperios
de retorno sería 250 x0.02 = 5 amperios.
Otro método más concreto para encontrar el valor de amperios de retorno sería cargar las
baterías por completo con los parámetros del fabricante y así podremos extraer la gravedad
específica correctamente si es aplicable.
Luego simplemente hacer otra ‘re-bulk’ y ‘absorb’. Si está utilizando una conexión fuera de
la red sólo tiene que apagar la fuente AC durante 1 minuto, y encienda el generador de nuevo
o vuelva a conectar la fuente de AC. Si está utilizando un inversor de red interactiva que se
puede vender a la red, iniciar un ‘RE-BULK’ (presiona el botón AC IN 4 veces). A
continuación, supervise cuantos son los amperios que toma el cargador para mantenerse en el
voltaje de ‘absorbo’ se puede extraer yendo a la actividad de su shunts (amperios positivos)
que regresan a su banco de baterías sin electrodomésticos o cargas. STATUS / DC /
METER. Establecer y usar este valor como amperios de retorno en su programación.

NOTA: Este valor cambiará a medida de la edad de las baterías. Los amperios
de retorno de baterías nuevas podrían ser tan bajos como 1%. Los amperios de
retorno a cambio de baterías viejas pueden ser de hasta 3% quizás más,
dependiendo de su condición. Por lo tanto, nuestro valor sugerido es 2%, y
ajustar el factor de carga de la batería (BCF) Pasó # 5 si el ajuste es necesario.
Pasó # 4: Introducir el voltaje de fin de carga. ADV / DC / CHARGE (presionar ‘Down’ – el ajuste de este parámetro está por debajo
de los "amperios de retorno"). Este valor se basa en el voltaje de absorción que se establece
con la configuración de fabricación de las baterías. ADV / FX / CHARGER (seleccionar
abajo para ver este valor y confirmar cada puerto). Para un sistema de12/24 voltios se debe
establecer con un 0.2 voltios menos del voltaje de absorción. Para un sistema de 48 voltios se
debe establecer con un 0.4 menos del voltaje de absorción.
Por ejemplo: La fabricación de las baterías sugirió que usted configure la
absorción de su cargador FX a 58.2 voltios durante 3 horas ya que se suele
hacer una descarga de 50% de sus baterías. Así, el voltaje de carga de fin de
carga del FN-DC debe restar 0.4 voltios del voltaje de absorción para obtener
su "Voltaje fin de carga", lo que equivale a 57.8 voltios.
Pasó #5: Introducir el tiempo de espera que los parámetros fuesen cumplidos. Desde la fábrica se establece en 1 minuto. Este es ajustable por el usuario, pero
normalmente el valor predeterminado es el óptimo.
Pasó # 6: Factor de carga de las baterías deben ser validados. Desde la fábrica se establece en 94%, y este sería el valor que habrá que ajustarse sólo
después de cargar las baterías y varios ciclos de uso. El factor de carga se define como un
factor de compensación por las pérdidas en la recarga y descarga de las baterías mediante el
descuento de amperios durante la carga de la batería. Por ejemplo, el FN-DC no cuenta
con todos los amperios-hora en recargar las baterías, ya que durante la recarga tiene pérdidas
relacionadas con gasificación y calentamiento - así que para cada 100 amperios de carga sólo
94 se muestran en la pantalla de amperios-hora (94%). NOTA: Los amperios-hora retirados
de las baterías se cuentan como el 100%.
Pasó # 7: Sincronización con el FN-DC y el banco totalmente cargado. Ya ha terminado la programación. Tienes que ir a través de un unos pocos ciclos de
carga para asegurar que sus baterías se sincronizan correctamente con su
programación. Algunos instaladores cargan las baterías antes de programar, y simplemente lo
calibraran desenchufando el FN-DC del HUB y volver a enchufarlo de nuevo. El

instalador también podrá dejar el tiempo de absorción a una duración suficiente para que la
total energía renovable sea el tiempo suficiente para los parámetros de FN-DC para cubrir el
100% del estado de carga. Cada vez que se desconecte el FNDC se restablece al 100%. El FN-DC es un monitor de batería o un contador elegante. Sólo sabe lo que le dices.

Preguntas y respuestas más frecuentes:
¿Qué tipo de shunt se necesita? Outback recomienda nuestro FW-SHUNT250 (se monta en una unidad de FX) o FW-
SHUNT500, con un FW-SBUS o FW-BBUS para conectar varios elementos o para unir
todos los shunts. Mediante la adición de nuestra barra de BUS reduce sobre
calentamiento. Estos shunts se clasifican para medir a 500 amperios / 50 mV.
Cualquier shunt se puede utilizar siempre y cuando se trata en relación de un 10.000:1
amperios / voltios, y esto significa un shunt 1.000 A/100mv va a funcionar y esta es
nuestra máxima entrada para el FN-DC.
¿Cómo puedo probar mis shunts? Usted puede medir milivoltios con un voltímetro a través de los terminales de la derivación o
shunts. Un milivoltio es igual a diez amperios (sonda + va en el lado de la
batería). Observe la polaridad cuando se carga y descarga - debe reflejar lo que está
viendo en el paso 2 y 3.

¿Las derivaciones o shunts vienen con el juego del FN-DC? No, a menos que haya adquirido el Outback Power FW500 o FW1000, que viene con un
shunt, si lo necesita comprar contacte su distribuidor.
¿Puede el FN-DC ser conectado a un sistema positivo a la tierra? No. ¿Mi carga de las baterías dice que esta 100%, pero mi voltaje de baterías o el peso específico no es el 100%? Su FN-DC todavía necesita

En los pasos 1-7 anterior. Si usted ha pasado por múltiples usos y los ciclos completos de

carga y antes de realizar ningún otro ajuste para el factor de carga para afinar el sistema.
¿Cómo puedo restablecer el FN-DC?
Para restablecer la unidad a los valores de fábrica ir a ADV/DC/PG3 a continuación,
seleccione RESET.
¿Por qué no enciende mi FN-DC? Para su FN-DC se recomienda disponer de un cortacircuito de menos de 5 amperios, y este
dispositivo se debe comprobar si hay un circuito abierto. El FN-DC debe estar enchufado
en el HUB en uno de los números de puerto después de los inversores FX. NOTA: si se
desconecta el FN-DC y volver a enchufar en el HUB re-sincroniza el estado de carga al
100% - vea el paso # 7.
¿Cómo se utiliza el relé? El relé es clasificado a 5 amperios, 30 voltios nominal y es necesario protección de sobre
corriente. Este relé es de contacto seco con lógica invertida cuales podrán ser utilizadas para
controlar un generador. Le recomendamos que utilice con la función de MATE /
AGS mediante el establecimiento de ese puerto que el FN-DC está conectado. El relé
también se puede utilizar para otras funciones como: alarma, luz, u otros dispositivos de bajo

¿Qué revisión del MATE necesito para utilizar el FN-DC? Necesita al menos 4.0.4. Usted puede encontrar su revisión de código yendo al MATE
SETUP / MATE. Si usted tiene una revisión más antigua usted puede comunicarse con
OutBack Power para obtener una actualización gratuita de código en el dispositivo mate
[email protected] o (360) 618- 4363.
Quiero vender energía a la red con mi GTFX, pero quiero que mis baterías reciban una carga completa primero. ¿Puede ayudar mi FN-DC? Sí, en el MATE con firmware 4.1.6 tenemos "autoridad avanzada conexión a la red" que, cuando
está activado, le dirá al FN-DC de cargar completamente las baterías cada mañana antes de su
venta. Esta característica se puede encontrar en ADV / MATE / PG4 / MODE.
¿Cuándo volverá "Days since Full" a cero? (ultima vez las baterías marcaron ser cargadas totalmente) "Days since full" puede ser etiquetado como "Días desde que los parámetros fueron
cumplidos". El FN-DC re-inicializará el "Days since full" cuando se hallan cumplido los
parámetros programados en los pasos 3 al 5, y luego, cuando se confirma amperios ha
comenzado a salir de las baterías. Consejo: Si tiene parámetros inexactos tendrá un estado
de carga invalido de las baterías cual es capaz de tener la posibilidad de que el control de la

¿Cómo puede el FN-DC parar la carga de las baterías si mi banco ha cumplido con los parámetros? El Mate detendrá la carga si ve que los parámetros se hayan cumplido. Utilizando el Mate, vaya
a la siguiente pantalla: ADV / (contraseña) / MATE / PG3 / FN-DC. Asegúrese de
que "permitir la terminación de carga" está ajustado a "sí". Esto detendrá el ciclo
de absorción en nuestro equipo una vez que se hayan cumplido los parámetros.
¿Por qué mi eficiencia de carga (STATUS / DC / BAT) dice un valor diferente a mi Factor de carga de batería en los parámetros programados en el FN-DC? La eficiencia de carga está revelando la eficacia del banco de baterías. ¿Alcanzo a un estado de
carga 100%, o estuvo pasando demasiada energía a sus cargas o electrodomésticos sin cargar sus
baterías? Factor de carga es un valor totalmente diferente, pero podría ser relevante. (Ver nuestra
explicación en el paso # 6). Consultar la fábrica de la batería sería ideal para investigar el
porcentaje de eficiencia para la cantidad real de energía que entra en la batería y la cantidad que
se almacenan para su uso frente a pérdida de calor y otras pérdidas.

¿Cómo sé si mis baterías están totalmente cargadas? Esta respuesta es fundamental para aquel dueño que desee tener baterías de larga duración. La
mejor respuesta es consultar con la fabricación de baterías, pidiéndoles que responder a esta
pregunta. Métodos para medir típicamente involucran la utilización de:
• Hidrómetros que compensan temperatura
• Refractómetros,
• Multi-testers digitales que van a la centésima parte decimal
• pruebas de carga (electrodomésticos)
• Amplificadores final o bien amplificadores antiguos regreso de moda (que incluyen una
combinación de voltios y tiempo).

Mi esclavo FX, dice un voltaje de la batería más baja que mi FN-DC. ¿Qué debo hacer? El FN-DC es el dispositivo más preciso y todos los demás dispositivos deben ser

Introduction
The OutBack Power Systems FLEXnet DC
The FLEXNet DC collects, monitors and records time-based battery amp, watt and volt data for display
on the OutBack MATE series of products, allowing for more accurate set point adjustments and precise
battery recharging. Five LEDs on the FLEXnet DC act as a state-of-charge indicator bar for a quick status
display.
The FLEXnet DC also off ers an auxiliary (AUX) relay that acts like a switch to turn on or off a
user-installed light, alarm, or similar low voltage DC device. It can also be set up as a two-wire auto
generator starter.
The FLEXNet DC works in conjunction with up to three input current shunts (either a FW-SHUNT250 or
FW-SHUNT500, each rated 500A/50mV) also available from OutBack.
Only a single FLEXNet DC is needed for any system using OutBack components.
The FLEXnet DC is not intended to be used with the MATE2M. It is designed to work with the MATE or
the MATE2.
NOTE: • One shunt is included as standard equipment with each OutBack FW500-DC and FW1000-AC
enclosures.
• The shunt(s) cannot be connected to a positive (+) ground system.

Think of the input shunts as breaks or junctions in the DC (-) conductor. The current is conducted
as though it were a continuous conductor, but the shunts allow the user to monitor the current,
providing information for more accurate battery recharging.

Installing the FLEXnet DC
The FLEXnet DC mounts in a 3/4” DC breaker slot in an OutBack DC breaker bracket installed inside
a FLEXware enclosure or previous model OutBack enclosure. To mount the FLEXnet DC inside an
OutBack enclosure:
Put the system into bypass mode
Shut off all AC input to inverters
Shut off all PV and DC breakers
Disconnect the battery cables at the battery
Remove the breaker bracket from its enclosure by removing the four corner screws

Wiring Block Connections
Color-coded twisted pair 18 AWG connects the wiring block and shunt(s) or battery. The wiring must
be installed with the proper polarity to avoid corrupting the data.
The wires connected to the wiring block should match the color-coded label where the wiring block
inserts into the FLEXnet DC.

The wiring block can accommodate #12 AWG to #26 AWG (2.5 mm2 to .20 mm2) wire with a strip
length of 1/4” (6 mm).

• Insert the 10-pin connector to the wiring block on
the back of the FLEXnet DC.
• Install the CAT5 cable into the RJ45 jack in the back
of the FLEXNet DC. Connect the other end of the
cable to the HUB using Port #2 or higher.
• Replace the breaker bracket and secure with its
four corner fasteners.
• With all FLEXnet DC wires connected, reinstall the
DC enclosure cover and secure its four Phillips
screws.
• After the cover is installed, reconnect the battery
cables at the battery, turn on all the breakers, and
power up the system.

Logged Data*
The previous 128 days of data are accessible with the MATE. The data is logged each night at
midnight. Be sure the MATE’s clock is set to the correct local time (refer to your MATE manual).

AUX-INVERT LOGIC—the invert logic function can be activated with a YES or

Programming and Using the MATE for FLEXNet DC Operations
At initial power up, use the MATE (see pages 17-28) to program:
• Battery Bank 20 Hour Capacity (provided by the manufacturer) in amp hours (from 100-
10,000 amp-hours in ten amp increments)
• Battery charge parameters
Return amps: See the manufacturer recommendations or set to 2% of the battery bank
amp hour capacity (e.g. a 1000 amp hour battery bank would set the return amps to 20.0
amps)
NOTE: Older battery banks might require a higher value if the system end of charge amps does not
drop to the 2% level.
Battery End-of-Charge Voltage: See the manufacturer recommendations or set .2 volts lower
than the system absorb voltage for 12/24 volt systems and .4 volts lower for 48 volt or higher
systems
• Battery Charge Factor (BCF)
The BCF compensates for recharging ineffi ciency from gassing and heating losses to
assure the battery state-of-charge (SOC) display is accurate by scaling it; the BCF is
programmable from 65% to 100% (see page 29).
If the SOC percentage displays full before the batteries’ user-determined charge settings
are met, decrease the BCF percentage; increase it if the SOC is low.
The default setting is 94%, meaning 94% of the charging current is being used for
recharging and 6% is lost. OutBack suggests maintaining the default setting until the
FLEXNet DC has monitored the system through a few charge/discharge cycles.
Setting the BCF to 100% eff ectively disables any BCF display changes.
• Charge Parameters Met Time
During this period, the charge parameters must meet or exceed the user-set charge
parameters before the battery is considered full.
Programmable from 0 to 240 minutes
Setting this time to 0 eff ectively eliminates any fi ltering provided by this timer. The fi rst
time the charge parameters are met, the unit will consider the parameters met and
perform accordingly.
The default setting is one minute. Longer or shorter periods may apply to
certain sources such as wind generators or hydros.

FLEXNet DC Modes
- Channel A is enabled by default
- Each input channel is either enabled or disabled.
- A disabled channel will show zero values only.
- All enabled channels will run in parallel.
- An enabled channel monitors and totals all current fl owing into or out of the battery
bank through its shunt. Any DC loads or sources wired directly to the battery cannot be
accounted for by FLEXNet and will result in inaccurate readings.
- All unused channels should be set to disabled.
NOTE: All shunts must be connected in the negative or low side of the system and operate in parallel.
High side connection may result in erratic operation and/or failure of the FLEXNet DC.
Charge Cycle
At power up, the FLEXNet DC assumes the battery is full regardless of the battery state-of-charge. The
batteries should receive a full charge at this time to meet the user-determined charge parameters
(entered at start up).
Typical charge cycle:
1. The battery bank is charging and charge parameters are satisfi ed (return amps, battery
voltage, and the parameters met time set point).
2. When the top green LED is blinking, the charge parameters have been
satisfi ed.
3. When a discharge begins, an internal timer counts for one minute. After one minute of
discharge, a new discharge cycle starts. All LEDs go solid and all amp hours and kilowatt
hours registers return to zero.
The FLEXNet DC is now synchronized to the battery.
4. The charged and removed amp-hours from the battery are monitored according to the
following:
• Amp-hours removed from the battery are counted at 100%.
• Amp-hours returned to the battery are discounted by the Battery Charge Factor.
• The default charge factor is 94% (each amp-hour returned to the battery is accounted for
as 0.94 Amp-Hours).

The FLEXnet DC’s LEDs indicate the SOC by their individual ON/OFF states. Excluding the RED or last
LED, when viewing the remaining four LEDs—GREEN, YELLOW, YELLOW, AND YELLOW— the following
are true:
• All LEDs on = 90-100% SOC
GREEN LED blinking—charge parameters met
Solid GREEN LED—SOC is above 90%
• All but top LED on = 80-89% SOC
• All but top two LEDs on = 70-79% SOC
• Bottom yellow LED on = 60-69% SOC
When viewing the last (RED) LED:
• Bottom RED LED on = 50-59% SOC
• Bottom LED blinking = less than 50% SOC
NOTE: The bottom LED is always off unless the SOC is less than 60%
5. When the SOC is less than 90%, enough of a discharge has taken place that the FLEXnet DC’s data
can be used to determine, among other things, an accurate Battery Charge Factor. A battery amp-
hour charge factor* and the battery kWhr effi ciency factor** for the last cycle are calculated using
the stored values from the previous charge cycle (if the SOC is higher than 90%, the values aren’t
reliable enough for these calculations). The battery must cycle at least twice for these values to be
valid.

Relay Logic:• Expressed as NO/NC (Normally Open/Normally Closed), basically off /on
• May be controlled via the invert logic selection from the MATE.
• Toggling the relay logic setting changes the logic mode for Hi or Lo set points
Example: The relay’s contacts are closed when the Hi set point is satisfi ed and open again when the Lo
set point is achieved. However, you want the relay’s contacts to be open under this condition. Toggling
the invert logic set point will accomplish this. The truth table appears as follows:

Programming the Auxiliary Relay
The FLEXNet DC’s unpowered relay is rated 5 amps/30VDC.
NOTE: This relay is not fused and requires appropriate sized wiring and over-current protection. Damage due to unprotected relay devices is not covered by the warranty.
The relay may be confi gured in one of two modes:
1. AUTO activates the relay based on user selected battery voltage, percentage of SOC delay times
and invert logic settings.
2. MANUAL allows direct relay control using the MATE, causing the relay to behave as a switch.
NOTE: When the MATE’s AGS function is active, it will override the AUX set points of whichever component
it has been programmed to control (this should be the AUX connected to the generator). OutBack strongly
recommends using the AGS function of the MATE to control a generator.
AUTO Mode Six user adjustable set points govern the control logic of AUTO Mode:
1. Vbat Hi (0-99.9Vdc)
2. Vbat Lo (0-99.9Vdc)
3. %SOC Hi (0-100%)
4. %SOC Lo (0-100%)

• If the battery voltage set points are not met, then the %SOC set points are evaluated.
• If %SOC set points are not met, then no action is taken.
• If either volts or %SOC set points are met, then the delay timer runs.
• When the set points have been satisfi ed for a time (either Hi Delay for the Hi set points met or Lo
Delay for the Lo set points met) the relay is actuated.

Shunt 1 is, by default, enabled or active when the FX is
powered up. Pressing the <DIS> soft key disables the fi rst
shunt. Pressing the <DOWN> soft key leads to the shunt 2
mode and shunt 3 mode screens. These shunts are disabled
at power-up and are enabled by pressing the <EN> soft key.
When the setup for all shunts has been completed, press the
<DOWN> soft key for the next screen.

Technical Notes
Battery Charge Factor (BCF)
Some energy is lost both when recharging and discharging a battery. The FLEXnet DC
compensates for these losses by discounting the amp-hours charging the battery, meaning
it doesn’t count every hour used for recharging as actually recharging. Some of them are lost
due to heat and gassing. The FLEXnet DC’s default BCF is 94, which means for every 100 amp
hours of charge to the battery, only 94 are shown in the amp hour display for a BCF of 94%.
This means 6% of the amp hours is lost.
As the system goes through a few recharging cycles, the range of state-of-charge (SOC)
percentages will vary, but should fall into a predictable range. This allows the user to change
the BCF if necessary for more effi cient recharging. If the SOC displays as full before the battery
charge settings are met (either before the time setting or amp hour setting is satisfi ed), the
BCF should be lowered because it’s assuming too many amp hours have been recharging the
battery. By lowering the BCF, the FLEXnet DC will read more hours as being unused due to
ineffi ciency.

2-Year Limited Warranty
FLEXnet Products
OutBack Power Systems, Inc. (“OutBack”) provides a two year (2) limited warranty (“Warranty”)
against defects in materials and workmanship for its FLEXnet products (“Products”) if installed
in fi xed location applications.
For this Warranty to be valid, the Product purchaser must complete and submit the applicable
Product registration card within ninety (90) days of the eligible Product’s fi rst retail sale. This
Warranty applies to the original OutBack Product purchaser, and is transferable only if the
Product remains installed in the original use location. The warranty does not apply to any
Product or Product part that has been modifi ed or damaged by the following:
• Installation or Removal;
• Alteration or Disassembly;
• Normal Wear and Tear;
• Accident or Abuse;
• Corrosion;
• Lightning;
• Repair or service provided by an unauthorized repair facility;
• Operation contrary to manufacturer product instructions;
• Fire, Floods or Acts of God;
• Shipping or Transportation;
• Incidental or consequential damage caused by other components of the power system;
• Any product whose serial number has been altered, defaced or removed; or
• Any other event not foreseeable by OutBack.
OutBack’s liability for any defective Product, or any Product part, shall be limited to the repair
or replacement of the Product at OutBack’s discretion. OutBack does not warrant or guarantee
workmanship performed by any person or fi rm installing its Products. This Warranty does not
cover the costs of installation, removal, shipping (except as described below), or reinstallation
of Products.

To request warranty service, you must contact OutBack Technical Services at (360) 435-6030
or [email protected] within the eff ective warranty period. If warranty service is
required, OutBack will issue a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number. A request for an
RMA number requires all of the following information:
1. Proof-of-purchase in the form of a copy of the original Product purchase invoice or receipt
confi rming the Product model number and serial number;
2. Description of the problem; and
3. Shipping address for the repaired or replacement equipment.
After receiving the RMA number, pack the Product(s) authorized for return, along with a copy
of the original purchase invoice and warranty certifi cate, in the original Product shipping
container(s) or packaging providing equivalent protection and mark the outside clearly with
the RMA number. The sender must prepay all shipping charges, and insure the shipment, or
accept the risk of loss or damage during shipment. OutBack is not responsible for shipping
damage caused by improperly packaged Products, the repairs this damage might require, or
the costs of these repairs. If, upon receipt of the Product, OutBack determines the Product is
defective and that the defect is covered under the terms of this Warranty, OutBack will then
and only then ship a repaired or replacement Product to the purchaser freight prepaid, non-
expedited, using a carrier of OutBack’s choice within the continental United States, where
applicable
Shipments to other locations will be made freight collect. The warranty period of any repaired
or replacement Product is twelve (12) months from the date of shipment from OutBack, or the
remainder of the initial warranty term, which ever is greater.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY APPLICABLE TO OUTBACK
PRODUCTS. OUTBACK EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES
OF ITS PRODUCTS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF
MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. OUTBACK ALSO EXPRESSLY
LIMITS ITS LIABILITY IN THE EVENT OF A PRODUCT DEFECT TO REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE TERMS OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY AND EXCLUDES ALL LIABILITY
FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY
LIABILITY FOR PRODUCTS NOT BEING AVAILABLE FOR USE OR LOST REVENUES OR PROFITS,
EVEN IF IT IS MADE AWARE OF SUCH POTENTIAL DAMAGES. SOME STATES (OR JURISDICTIONS)
MAY NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF WARRANTIES OR DAMAGES, SO THE
ABOVE EXCLUSIONS OR LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
