• 技術的な会話ではコンセプト(概念)を伝えることが重要.To convey your concept to others is important in a technical context.
– 日常会話のつもりだとハタと困るYou will be in a trouble if you think it is the same as ordinary conversation.

• Concept :
1. An abstract idea
2. An idea or invention to help sell or publicize a commodity
3. An experimental model to test the viability of innovative design features
4. An idea or mental image which corresponds to some distinct entity or class of entities, or to its essential features, or determines the application of a term (especially a predicate), and thus plays a part in the use of reason or language.

• Concept map is a tool to describe your concept.

– clarify your concepts
– integrate new (investigated/invented) concepts with your older concepts

Clarify your concept
• Choose one main concept you want to explain.Ex) Artificial intelligent, Virtual reality, Cloud computing, Internet of Things, Object-oriented programing, Natural language processing, Kansei information processing, you name it.
• List at least 10 key words related to the main concept.

• Write your concept map to explain the main concept in English.
• Learning partner session:
– Explain your concept using the concept map in English.
– The partner give advices to the presenter.

• Enhance your concept map, including at least:

– 20 concepts
• Bring 10 copies of your concept map to the next class,and prepare for presentation.
