D. Abstract. This is one of the design-ers favorites because it captures the essence of the projected brand: symmetry achieved by perfectly connecting a combination of straight lines (and note, the lines are smaller to show precision and nimbleness unlike a line with a bolder stroke). This design concept also creates a very unique look for EVO.

E. What’s in a name. We took the liberty to design a logo and look using the principal’s last name. Reasoning: the oil and gas industry is a good ol’ boy network — even for the executive professionals in upstream — where locker room talk includes calling people by their last name, very fraternal environment. Leverage this by using Eric’s very notable last name. In fact, when in London, in the GenesisRTS booth, BP lead kept calling it “van Oort’s" company. We are not sure about the pre-existing DBA or incorporation name, but this could be a viable option.

F. What’s in a name, part II. Same concept as #5 but with a di�erent, simple look.

A. The shapes. Simplicity, when used e�ectively, can make a powerful brand statement. When decision makers — drilling supervisors to VPs of drilling — in the upstream drilling and comple-tions space are hit up daily by consultants who want their business, EVO brings an "easy-to-work-with" and “get-it-done" attitude by simply recommending proven solutions for today's complex drilling challenges. The simple use of geometric shapes parlays that EVO is devoid of all the hidden costs and smoke-and-mirrors approach commonly o�ered by major service companies, but is a true partner with the operator.

B. The hex. Of all the designs present-ed, this is one where EVO would have true brand uniqueness. Here, the design parallels the fact that no two wells are the same — dynamics are always changing. This 3D design to the eye also changes form when holding a stare. Very cool and very memorable. The geometry also fits the engineering aspect of what EVO brings to oil and gas space.

C. The tag. The unique, bold symmetri-cal shape of the tag is clean and simple. The shape can be positioned on all collateral assets to create memorable brand identification.
