(EGB) is a not-for profit 501(3)c organization (59-3605695 ) that is a part of the Nike Girls Youth Elite Program and participates in the Nike EYBL. Nike EYBL is the premier girls basketball playing circuit in the country. We are one of only 32 programs in the country and the only Gold Star Nike Youth Elite Program in the State of Florida. Essence Girls Basketball makes positive strides to improve academics and basketball skills of young ladies with the ultimate goal to receive a basketball scholarship to help afford a higher education. The program has placed over 90% of its players in college on basketball scholarships. Essence is making a difference in young women’s lives through fitness and health awareness, academic transcript checklist, etiquette training, and recruiting preparation questions in an effort to succeed in life. Sponsorship advertisement is available on the Essence website (www.essencebball.org), as well as, the Roundball Academy website (www.roundballacademy.com). The Roundball Academy website serves as our tournament website for events that are hosted across the country. The month of July is our busiest month on the website with several thousand hits from across the country.
