To add “life” to the sunset years of elderly through – Organizing meaningful ac>vi>es for the elderly – Promo>ng volunteerism with the elderly – Educa>ng the public about volunteering – Developing volunteers to ensure con>nuity in serving the elderly

Beneficiaries Why the Elderly? Abraham J. Heschel:

make a point of being fond of children.

But the affec>on and care for the old, the incurable, the helpless are the true gold mines of a culture.”

•  Volunteer workgroup under Volunteer Circle of Na>onal Council of Social Service (NCSS) in 2004

•  We went independent when Volunteer Circle was discon>nued in 2006

ESN Carnivals

ESN Carnivals (since 2007) 300+ elderly beneficiaries from VWOs* and senior ci>zen programmes in Singapore gather for a day of fun & food away from the solitude & monotony of stay at nursing home

–  Main target are wheelchair bound elderly, but we also cater to mobile elderly from senior ci>zen programmes (mostly public assistance cases) around Singapore.

ESN Carnivals (since 2007) 300+ accompanying volunteers and caregivers to provide naviga>onal and mobility support, simple nursing care, and to man food and games stalls

ESN Carnivals (since 2007) Talen>me for elderly and volunteers to perform together and reminisce in the good old days
