He has worked as the director of Primary Programs at Scholastic and Vice President and Editorial Director at Macmillan/McGraw Hill. He is presently a consultant in primary curriculum for various schools across the US. Dr. Anne Burns is a Professor of TESOL in the School of Education, University of New South Wales. She is also Professor Emerita at Aston University, Birmingham, and Honorary Professor at the University of Sydney. She specializes in the teaching of speaking from a discourse perspective, curriculum development, language teaching methodology, and second language teacher education. Dr. Chen, Chao-ming (陳超明), received his PhD in English Literature from Florida State University, USA. He has been a professor at the Department of English, National Chengchi University since 2002. Currently, he is Chair Professor of the Department of Applied Foreign Languages, Shih Chien University. He published many articles on literature and TESOL. His research expertise includes Fiction, 19th-century English Literature, 20th-century American, Popular Literature. Dr. Winnie Cheng is Associate Dean, Faculty of Humanities, Professor of English and Director of Research Centre for Professional Communication in English (RCPCE), Department of English, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She is a Founding Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of the Humanities. Her research interests include ESP, intercultural pragmatics and communication, corpus linguistics, conversation analysis, critical discourse analysis, and discourse intonation. Her book publications include Enhancing students’ professional competence and generic qualities through writing in English across the curriculum (2014), Exploring corpus linguistics: Language in action (2012), A corpus-driven analysis of discourse intonation (2008), and Intercultural conversation (2003). She has published over 90 journal articles and book chapters and given over 100 invited plenary speeches and workshops at international conferences. Dr. Gao Xuesong高雪松 (Andy) is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education, the University of Hong Kong. His research interests are in the areas of learner autonomy, language policy and language teacher education. He is co-editor of System: An International Journal of Educational Technology and Applied Linguistics. Dr. Guangwei Hu (胡光偉), PhD, is an Associate Professor at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, where he teaches graduate courses in language assessment, psycholinguistics, research methodology in applied linguistics, and second language acquisition. His current research interests include academic literacy, bilingual education, language policy, and second language writing. He has published extensively on these topics. Lynn Maslen Kertell, the best-selling author of the Bob Books Beginning Readers series including Sight Words Kindergarten and First Grade, is the current manager of BOB Books and handles new product development, publisher liaison. He has contributed to the areas of language teaching, bilingual education and literacy with over 500 journal papers and book publications, and numerous speeches and workshops all over the world. He also makes best use of social network such as blogs, twitter, and facebook to help inform people of important arguments and findings in education. Dr. Ryuko Kubota is a professor in the Department of Language and Literacy Education in the Faculty of Education at the University of British Columbia. Her research is explores critical approaches to applied linguistics and second/foreign language teaching, focusing on issues of race, language ideologies, and critical pedagogies. Dr. Ma. Milagros Carreon Laurel is a professor at the Department of English and Comparative Literature at the University of the Philippines in Diliman. She is currently the president of PALT. Her areas of expertise are applied linguistics, cultural studies, and Tagalog literature. She received the Award of Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and the Thomson Heinle Award for Excellence in Teaching. She has delivered conference papers in different countries including Malaysia, Thailand, Brunei Darussalam, Hong Kong, Australia and Korea. She has published books and articles relating to the pedagogy of literature as well as other academic topics. Dr. Liu Dilin (劉迪麟) is Professor/Coordinator of Applied Linguistics/TESOL in the English Department at the University of Alabama. His research focuses on corpus-based description/teaching of lexis/grammar. He has published extensively including six books and numerous articles in journals such as Applied Linguistics, Modern Language Journal, Studies in the Second Language Acquisition, and TESOL Quarterly.

Dr. Liu Jun (劉駿) is Vice Provost for Global Affairs, Dean of International Academic Programs, and Professor of Linguistics at Stony Brook University. He has published extensively in intercultural communication and language education. He is the 2016 recipient of James E Alatis Award for Outstanding Service to TESOL following his presidency in 2007. Whitney Mirts received her MS in Applied Linguistics from Long Island University, Brooklyn, USA. She is currently the Regional English Language Officer for the U.S. Embassy in Manila. Before arriving in Manila, she worked in Washington, DC in the U.S. Department of State's Office of English Language Programs. Prior to joining the Foreign Service she was a TESOL professor and program administrator for ten years, working at all levels of education and on many continents. Her specialty includes TESOL, International Education, Student Advising, and Teacher Training. Dr. Bonny Norton is a Professor and Distinguished University Scholar in the Department of Language and Literacy Education, University of British Columbia, Canada. She is also Research Advisor of the African Storybook and 2006 co-founder of the Africa Research Network on Applied Linguistics and Literacy. She is internationally recognized for her theories of identity and language learning and her construct of investment. A Fellow of the American Educational Research Association (AERA), she was the first recipient in 2010 of the Senior Research Leadership Award of AERA’s Second Language Research SIG. In 2016, she was awarded the TESOL Award for Distinguished Research. Dr. Barry O'Sullivan is the Head of Assessment R&D at the British Council where he designed and developed the Aptis test system. He is the president of the UK Association of Language Testing and Assessment and holds honorary/visiting chairs at the Universities of Reading, Roehampton, UTM (Kuala Lumpur) and Lisbon. Dr. Richmond Stroupe, a Professor at Soka University in Tokyo, Japan, has worked with university and professional language-learners from Asia since 1989. His academic interests include curriculum development, teacher training and professional development, and enhancing learners’ critical thinking skills autonomous learning strategies. Dr. Yukio Tono is a professor in corpus linguistics at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. He received his Ph.D. at Lancaster University. He is currently a chief editor of LEXICOGRAPHY: A Journal of ASIALEX (Springer), and the President of Japan Association for English Corpus Studies. He is also a member of the English education reform committee at MEXT. His research interests include learner corpus research, L2 vocabulary acquisition, applications of corpora for ELT, and pedagogical lexicography. Dr. Lawrence Zhang Jun, PhD, is Professor of Linguistics-in-Education and Associate Dean, Faculty of Education and Social Work, University of Auckland. His major interests are in learner metacognition and teacher education, with particular reference to EFL reading and writing.
