Estimados padres:

Sra. Norma I. Colón Torres
11 de noviembre – Career Day

Sra. Magaly Jiménez Peña
Trabajadora Social
Saludos padres, madres y estudiantes.
-Henry Frederic Amiel

Hi parents:
This past week we had the pleasure of having author Mrs. Zulma Ayes (Professor at
Metropolitan University in San Juan) reading one of her books to our students in which she
points out the tradition of the “Three Wise Man Parade” of Juana Díaz. A tradition that is over
100 years old. Hoping having this type of activities more often for our students to enhance their
motivation for reading. “Reading is the bridge to knowledge”

Important notes:
As mentioned before, I am participating in a program from the University of
Puerto Rico – Mayagüez Campus (AFAMaC – Alianza para el Fomento de el
Aprendizaje de las Matemáticas y Ciencias) where I receive seminars and other
resources to enrich both my knowledge, and to prepare students for advanced
courses with relevant materials. Next month, a representative of the University
will be visiting a class and will do an activity with the students about math
concepts and problems to motivate students in class.

Comments:
Bonjour Parents:
The students are really motivated with learning a third language. It is my
upmost recommendation that you listen to them as they practice.
Also, it is highly recommended that they have a dictionary of French-English so
they can look up for words on their own time and seek self-improvement.
In class assessments I have acknowledged that the students have been studying
and practicing at home. They have completed the work and have helped each
other to complete as well. Keep up the good work!
I have been having trouble with IsiNet. I am waiting for them to fix it so I can
put the grades of the students in the system.
Up until now every student is in good standard, but any doubts feel free to
schedule an appointment.
