24 . Treinta y seis Gemas para tiHABLANDO en Prashanti Nilayam el 21 de octubre de 1961, Baba anunció al mundo que estaba iniciando su Misión Divina. Él vino como Hombre, en este Yuga (tiempo), para revivir el Dharma (rectitud), establecer a Shanti (paz) y llenar el mundo entero con Prema (amor) de manera que hora ¡todos puedan llegar a la meta que con ansiedad buscaron con tanto ahínco desde tiempos inmemoriales!

Bābā ofreció lo siguiente como mensaje en su trigésimo sexto de cumpleaños:

24. Thirty-six Gems for youSPEAKING at Prashaanthi Nilayam on 21 October 1961, announcement was made by Baba to the World that He has entered upon the Divine Minion. He has come down for as Man, in this Yuga, to revive Dharma, establish Peace and fill the whole world with Love so that all may now reach the goal anxiously striven for by them in the aeons that have gone by! The following were offered by Baaba as the Thirty-sixth Birthday Message:

1. La Rectitud es el Camino Real para el Trono de Dios.

1. Rectitude is the Royal Road to the Seat of God.

2. Quien conquista el mundo es un héroe; pero el Héroe de héroes es Aquel que se conquista a sí mismo; Él es poderoso; Sus hazañas están más allá de toda comparación.2. He who conquers the world is a hero; but the hero of heroes is he who conquers himself; he is mighty; he has prowess beyond compare.

3. La Fe es el primer paso hacia la Gracia de Dios.3. Faith is the first step to the Grace of God.

4. La Verdad les lleva a Dios; la falsedad les lleva al Demonio.4. Truth will lead you to the Deity untruth will lead you to the devil.

5. El aspirante debe soportar con paciencia todas las vicisitudes; esta es la ruta más beneficiosa.5. The aspirant must bear with patience all circumstances; that is the most beneficial path.

6. Llena cada una de tus acciones con la visión del Espíritu, la perspectiva del Súper-Yo.6. Fill every deed of yours with the vision of the Spirit, the outlook of the Super-self.

7. Para la comprensión del significado de la omnipresencia del Señor, crean: “No hay nombre que no sea el Suyo”; “No hay forma o cosa que no sea la Suya.”7. To grasp the significance of the Omnipresence of the Lord, believe that there is no namewhich is not His; no body or thing which is not His.

8. El que es firme en sabiduría está más cercano en la compañía del Señor.8. He who is steady in Wisdom stands closest in the company of the Lord.

9. ‘El despojarse de las ataduras a los impulsos innatos’ es la verdadera liberación.9. Release from bondage to inborn impulses is the Real Liberation.

10. Cuando una persona ha renunciado al fruto, sea cual sea la actividad a que se dedique, esto en sí, es samadhi (la última etapa del yoga).10. When a person has renounced the fruit, whatever activity he engages in, that is Samaadhi (the last stage of yoga) itself.

11. Cuando intentas algo por encima de tu capacidad, esto es vanidad.11. When you try something above your capacity, that is conceit.

12. Cuando haces algo menos que tu capacidad, recuerda, esto es un robo.12. When you do something less than your capacity, remember, that is theft.

13. La Felicidad completa consiste en conversación auspiciosa, pensamientos auspiciosos y obras auspiciosas.13. Full happiness consists of auspicious conversation, auspicious thoughts, auspicious deeds.

14. Reconoce y acepta tus propias faltas y errores; no intentes denunciar las faltas y errores de los demás; esta disciplina ayuda al aspirante en gran cantidad.14. Recognise and accept your own faults and errors; do not attempt to unveil others' faults and errors; this discipline helps the aspirant a great deal.

15. la conversación fresca y reconfortante, es lo más apropiado para el aspirante; es el hábito que lo conducirá a la meta.15. Cool comforting conversation, that is most congenial to the aspirant, is the habit that will take him to the goal.

16. ¿El ‘Cuervo’ hurtó las pertenencias de Quién? ¿A Quién coronó el ‘Pájaro Kuku’? Entiendan esto: si tu lengua es dulce, tu nombre será honrado.16. Whose property did the crow steal? Whom did the kokil (cuckoo) crown? Understand this: if your tongue is sweet, your name gets honoured.

17. Logra el dominio sobre tu lengua, y lograras con ello el dominio sobre el mundo.17. Achieve mastery over your tonic, you achieve thereby mastery over the world.

18. El que obedece a los dictados del Señor, de hecho, es un ‘sano’ (eased), un Yogui; el que desobedece los dictados del Señor, es un ‘insano’ (diseased), un Rogi.18. He who obeys the dictates of the Lord is indeed at eased, he is a Yogi; he who disobeys the dictates of the Lord, he is the diseased, the Rogi.

19. Cuando el corazón se une al corazón, el calor de la discusión no tiene cabida.19. When heart is bound to heart, heat of argument finds no place.

20. Los alimentos impuros hacen a la mente también, impura; el Sol de la gloria interna del dharma nunca podrá amanecer en una Mente impura.

20. Impure food makes the mind also, impure; the Sun of the inner glory of dharma can never dawn within the impure Mind.

21. Si renuncias a la contemplación del Señor, que es el tesoro de inagotable dicha y te dedicas a la contemplación de las formas que logran la victoria de los impulsos de tu corazón, nunca podrás liberarte.21. If you give up the contemplation of the Lord who is the treasure of undiminishing Bliss and spend yourselves in the contemplation of the means of achieving the victory of the promptings of your heart, you can never get released.

22. Si botan el peso de la argumentación, y despliegan las alas gemelas de la fe y la acción, podrán flotar y volar felizmente en el profundo cielo azul de la Todopoderosa Presencia.22. If you drop the weight of argument, and unfold the twin wings of faith and action, you can float and fly happily in the deep blue sky of the Almighty Presence.

23. El ansia por el fruto hará que toda disciplina espiritual sea infructuosa.23. The craving for fruit will render all spiritual discipline fruitless.

24. Deja que la mente muera, deja que buddhi (intelecto) sea destruido, deja que el cuerpo se desintegre, recuerda nada puede dañarte, Ātma indestructible.24. Let the mind die, let buddhi (intellect) be destroyed, let the body disintegrate, remembernothing can harm you, the indestructible Aathma.

25. Utiliza un poco de sentido común y sabrás que el cuerpo no es tu propio Ser; es susceptible a declinar y la muerte; ese es el primer paso para que Nāra (hombre) se convierta en Nārāyana (Dios). El 'yo' al que se hace referencia no es el cuerpo, es Paramātma (Ser Supremo); tratar de darse cuenta de esto es tapas (austeridades).25. Use a little common sense and you will know that the body is not your own Self; it is liable to decline and death; that is the first step for Nara (man) to become Naaraayana (God). The 'I' to which reference is made is not the body, it is the Paramaathma (Supreme Self); trying to realize this is thapas (penance).

26. Cuando se canta el nombre del Señor se llena el aire con su esplendor y fragancia, ese lugar de hecho es Vaikuntha (la morada de Viśṇu).26. Where the singing of the Name of the Lord fills the air with its splendour and fragrance, that place indeed is Vaikuntha (the abode of Vishnu).

27. Mientras que la piel del ganado es útil para la fabricación de calzado, la piel humana no vale ni una mota de polvo. Pero, sin embargo, ese mismo

hombre puede ascender a alturas divinas si simplemente llevara a cabo su deber sagrado.27. While the skin of cattle is useful for making footwear, the human skin is not worth a speck of dust. But yet, that very man can ascend to the height of dignity if only he caries out his holy rusk.

28. El mundo debe transformarse en la morada del amor; primero, cultiven el amor por ustedes mismos; a continuación, llenen de amor el pueblo donde viven; posteriormente, difundan el amor al distrito y asi, dejen que cubra el mundo entero.28. The world must be made the abode of love; first, cultivate love for yourself; then, fill the village, where you are with love; later, spread the love to the district and thug let it cover the entire world.

29 Lo que sea que sientas que sería bueno que los otros hicieran por ti, el modo de cómo te gustaría que te respetasen; asi también, has eso mismo a los demás, y hónrales tal como a ti mismo.29. Whatever you feel is good if done by others to you, however you feel they should honour you; do unto those others also and honour them likewise yourselves.

30 Cuando no sepas, confiesa que no sabes; el pretender saber y encubrir la ignorancia, es muy peligroso, sobre todo para el aspirante espiritual.30. When you do not know, confess that you do not know; if you pretend to know and to cover up ignorance, it is very dangerous, especially to the spiritual aspirant.

31. La idea de Brahman está más allá de la capacidad de los que no tienen control sobre las agitaciones de la mente; las aflicciones naturales del mundo causal cesarán sólo cuando la idea de Brahman esté bien establecida en la mente; la ilusión del mundo causal debe desaparecer si uno a de obtener la alegría, la dicha del Alma.31. The idea of Brahman is beyond the capacity of those who have no control over the agitations of the mind; the natural afflictions of the causative world will cease only when the idea of Brahman is well established in the mind; the delusion of the causative world must disappear if one must get the Joy, Aathmic Bliss.

32. Por grande que sea un héroe, es posible que, cualquiera sea su destreza e inteligencia, desprovisto de la gracia de Dios, degenere en un esclavo.32. However great a hero you might be, whatever your prowess and intellect, devoid of theGrace of God, you degenerate into a slave.

33. Quien ama y sirve a todos, a él, el Señor ama y honra.33. Whoever loves and serves all, him, the Lord loves and honours.

34. Las aves que toman refugio por la noche despiertan y vuelan lejos a las cuatro esquinas del mundo cuando sale el Sol; así también, la mujer y tus hijos, la fortuna y la riqueza, todos vuelan lejos sin siquiera un aviso de despedida. Establézcanse firmemente en este hecho; hagan esfuerzos inmediatos para alcanzar lo eterno, lo permanente, lo que no cambia.34. The birds taking shelter for the night awake and fly away to the four quarters at sunrise; so too, the wife and children, the fortune and wealth, all fly away without as much as even a farewell notice. Establish yourselves firmly in this fact; make immediate efforts to achieve the eternal, the permanent, the unchanging.

35. ¿De qué sirve devorar libros durante días y noches, ¿de qué sirve toda la fama alcanzada por medio de estudios? Lo que has puesto en práctica, esa la medida de tu aprendizaje, de tu educación. Sin eso, no eres más que un tonto ilustrado y culto.35. Of what use is all the poring over tomes throughout the day and night, of what use is all the fame achieved by means of scholarship? What you have put into practice, that is the measure of your learning, your education. Without that, you are but a learned titled fool.

36. Lucha por la felicidad, la alegría de todos los demás, tan sinceramente como te esforzarías por ti mismo; lucha por la paz del mundo, tan diligentemente como te esforzarías por ti mismo. Esa es la verdadera divinidad, que es la verdadera humanidad.36. Strive for the happiness, the joy of all others, as earnestly as you strive for your own; strive for the peace of the world, as diligently as you strive for your own. That is true divinity, that is true humanity.

Si hay dos o más reinos o estados, ellos están destinados a tener codicia, envidia, celos, odio e ira, por un lado, y miedo, ambición y venganza por el otro. Nadie puede entonces conocer la alegría o la perfecta paz. Del mismo modo, siempre que sientas la realidad de 'muchos', siempre que sientas que estas fuera de ti, separado de ti, tendrás miedo, odio, codicia y el resto de las plagas. Cuando sabes que el "Muchos" es una ficción que tu ignorancia superpone al “Uno”, te conviertes en maestro, el único monarca, y todo el

miedo se desvanece. Esa etapa es Mukti: La liberación de la esclavitud del saṃsāra --- la vida mundana.

If there are two or more kings or states, there is bound to be greed,envy, jealously, hatred and anger on one side, and fear, ambitionand vengence on the other. No one can then know the joy orperfect peace. Similarly, so long as you feel the reality of the'many,' so long as you take them to be outside you, separate fromyou, you have fear, hatred, greed and all the rest of the pests.When you know that the ‘many’ is a figment superimposed on theOne, by your own ignorance, you become Master, sole Monarch,and all fear vanishes. That stage is Mukti: Liberation from thethralldom of Samsaara---worldly life.Sathya Sai Baaba
