Dr. Dionne S. Wood, is known as Miss Buttafly. She is the founder of The Buttafly Groupand www.thebuttaflygroup.com. As a life transformation specialist, intuitive counselor,and creator of “Feminology 101 – Unlocking the Magick & Mystery of The Honey Pot,”Dionne is here to inspire women how to take their gifts off the shelf, unwrap them, and

Dr. Dionne S. Wood

Dionne was born into a unique paradox. She had no siblings. Her father was a pastor, and a soldier.

That’s right. She was an only child/pastor’s kid/Army brat. Can you imagine?! Not to mention, she

demonstrated accelerated intellectual capacity very early on in school. She even skipped a grade

and graduated at the age of 16. From the beginning, self-identity was present as the preeminent issue

of her young life. “Gifted!” “Brilliant!” “Exceptional!” These are words that would be use to describe her

unique presence by her parents, her teachers… almost anyone who came in contact with her. People

were stricken by her ability to articulate and comprehend abstract thought. These gifts even played

out in her young spiritual life as well. As a young girl, she would dream dreams that had profound

meaning in her life and the lives of others. Always outspoken, she was often the center of attention in

adult circles. In public, she was a bright, vibrant young girl; in private, things were very different. Her

home life was often tumultuous. Her parents argued often. Her relationship with her father was strained

and abusive, and her relationship with her mother became co-dependent. She’d been molested by

the son of a church member as a young girl. That seemed to set a precedent for several subsequent

sexual assaults throughout her lifetime. Men seemed to feel entitled to her body, and she felt

powerless to change that perception. This sense of powerlessness, despite being a source of

information and positive energy for others, was pervasive even as she embarked upon a career as an

itinerant evangelist. It is the reason she entered into her second marriage, despite being deeply

conflicted about it. She felt powerless, and nothing, not marriage, not children, not even her

experience in the church, made her feel anything different. Eventually, she ended up divorcing her

second husband, shutting down her entire ministry operation, and leaving the Christian faith. She set

out to discover “the truth.” That ongoing journey, which she soon realized she’d been on her entire life,

ultimately led her to develop a personal philosophy based on self-mastery, the ability to manifest

anything, intuitive living, body positivity, the divine feminine, and the sacred power of the yoni.

The Buttafly Group is the mother company to all of Dionne’s entrepreneurial efforts, including Miss Buttafly Speaks, Feminology 101, and The Social Buttafly. TBG was created to assist women in mastering their lives, manifesting their desires, and experiencing holistic metamorphosis. Our purpose is total life change for all women.
