By an extra chromosome 21, which makes like be 47 chromosomes instead of 46.

No it cant be transmitted because you get it at birth causing it to be genetic

Babies get this disease from there parent.

It stays in your body because once you have it you cant get rid of it

Sign and symptoms

Head maybe smaller than normal and abnormal shaped

Decreased muscle size Flattened nose, small ears, small mouth Upward slanting eyes White spots on colored part of the eyes Impulsive behavior Poor judgments Short attention span Slow learning

It is chronic because it keeps going on

Preventions

Mother shouldn’t have babies over the age of 35 because that increases the risk
