DOWN AWAIT SENIOR FOOTBALLERS The Laois senior footballers will take on Down on Easter Sunday in the last
match of the Allianz National Football League.
A defeat to Kerry last weekend means Justin McNulty's troops must win at
home against Down in Portlaoise on April 8th.
HURLERS FACE WEXFORD TASK It's also crunch time for our senior hurlers as they face Wexford on Sunday in
Wexford.
With championship time only around the corner, a win is needed in the Allianz
National Hurling League Division 1B

He has served his club,

distinction and he now
leads the GAA forward.

COUNTY BOARD DRAW
Congratulations to all our winners in the first of the €130 County Board
draws which was made recently. The €10,000 prize was won by Tom
Kinsella of Courtwood GAA Club.

PARK RATHENISKA GAA AWARDS NIGHT The Park/Ratheniska GAA Club gathered recently to pay tribute to its Laois
and Leinster Junior Hurling Champions of 2011. Uachtarán Tofa CLG Liam
O'Neill and Laois County Board Vice Chairman Gerry Kavanagh were on hand to
present the double winning hurlers with their medals to mark their 2011
achievements.
Mr. O'Neill congratulated the Club on its dedication to its place and
people and most notably in the efforts to promote both Hurling and Football
in the area, a fact proven by the Clubs unique position in Laois GAA, being
the only Club to have Leinster Titles in both codes.

The Laois GAA Sparrow Insurances Championship Draws took place on

LAOIS GAA GOLF CLASSIC
The 1st of June will see the return of the popular Laois GAA Golf Classic
(Champagne Scramble) in Portarlington Golf Club.

Congratulations to Ballypickas GAA Club as they participated in the Leinster
Scór final recently.
Please remember Scór na for children will take place on April 28th.
FÉILE PEIL LAOIS AND OFFALY 2012
Preparations are well and truly underway for the Feile in Laois and Offaly this
year.
Clubs around the county should have all their Garda Vetting Forms completed
and sent to Tomas in the Laois GAA Office. This is a huge event for the county
and we appeal to all clubs to have their grounds in order for the event.

Saturday last. The team
lost by two points in an
exciting game. They will
now play Westmeath on
Saturday next in another

Well done to Laois footballers and hurlers on their recent Fight Night which
was a major success. All the proceeds from the night go towards the respective
