Ion Ionescu de la Brad, 121, Dist.1, Bucharest, Romania  Abstrac t Dierent types o cucumbers culture, respectively organic system and the system o chemical and organic ertilization can inuence  vegetable quality. Te present study was carried out in a solarium on a arm, in six experimental variants, thre e replications. Tree variants or ertilization systems with t wo cucumbers cultivars were used. Te biological material used in t he experiments consisted o the cultivars rium ’ F1 and ‘Mirabelle’ F1. Fertilization systems used were organic w ith manure, classic with chemical ertilizers and soluble complex ertilizers with ertigation. In the present research agrochemical and biochemical characteristics were analysed and also weight o ruits and yield on plants and kg/m 2  were measured. Agrochemical characteristics were: contents o nitrates, phosphorus and potassium rom cucumbers and the biochemical characteristics measured were: acidity, soluble carbohydrates, vitamin C and dry matter. Te results showed that the ertilization with soluble complex ertilizers in addition with ertigation assured the entire necessary or the growth and ructication o cucumbers. Te presence o chemical ertilizers do not inuence in a negative way the nitrates, phosphorus and potassium content and the quality o consumption o cucumbers was assured. Regarding the cultivars the best yield and quality results  were obtained to ‘Mirabelle’ F1.  Keyword s: biochemical characteristics, cultivars, organic and chemical ertilizers Introduction Growing cucumbers in Romania is, in most cases, based on the organic system and the system o chemical and organic ertilization. Tese types o culture can inu- ence vegetable quality owing to increased photosynthesis. Cucumber crop occupies the land or our months, the mandatory technology should support vegetative growth and build upon the ertilization phases. Fertilization based on soil cucumber crops is limited to a moderate amount o ertilizer since root sensitivity does not support high concentrations o minerals with chloral and sulphates in the soil (El-Dakish, 2004). raditional phase ertilization is also relatively dicult due to their dicult insert into the soil rom the technological point o view and the su-  percial strikin g roots o the cucumbers plant. Also, phase ertilization in leaps is no solution or the growth and ruition o the soil-grown cucumbers (El-Dakish, 2004). Te occurrence o soluble complexes ertilizers contain- ing a complete range o macro and micro elements on the market simplies the applied mode and eciency o phase ertilization eect in the cucumber crop grown in the so- lariums (Massantini, 1988). Drip ertilization is applied on the vigorous plants every day by using equal norms with daily consumption (El-Dakish, 2004). Tus, soil humidity can be maintained at constant values as the ertilizers necessary or phase ertilization allow plant supply with nutritive elements in agreement with consumption. Tus, the positive eects o irrigation and phase ertilization applied in culture are combined with the aim o achieving high yield and qualit y (Mao et al., 2003). An experiment was conducted to study the dierent eects o special compound ertilizer presented in ab.1,  pure chemical ertilizer and pure organic ertilizer on growth, yield and quality o cucumber in soil greenhouse (Fang, 2005). Compared with the eect o pure chemi- cal ertilizer or organic ertilizer could greatly improve the cucumber`s quality and determined lower content o N-NO 3 - . Te inuence o ertilization system on the quality o vegetables was study by a lot o researchers around the  world: Granges et al . (2000) determined the dry matter contents, carotenoids and acidity characteristics o dier- ent vegetables in dierent ertilizer conditions, Noguera et al . (1988) determined dry matter contents, Massantini (1962) determined the sugar content and Tybo et al. (2005) also determined the acidity contents o vegetables in dierent conditions o culture in greenhouse. Tese characteristics were determined at the nish o vegetable culture o cucumbers at dierent cultivars and phase o maturity (Noguera, 2005; Parks, 2004).
