    B. Review of the Past LessonWe have already finished discussing aboutReference of Pronouns. Before we moveon to the next topic, let us have a recall ofwhat are the basic parts of a sentence.

How are the subject and predicate relatedto each other?

Correct. The reason why I asked you aboutthe subject and the verb is that our topicfor today is all about the Subject VerbAgreement and the rules that govern it.

There are seven rules which governSubject Verb Agreement. I will tell youeach of the rules and give an example.Afterwards, you will give your ownexample.

Very good! Now, we will discuss all those

verbs as we move on with the lesson.

    D. PresentationRemember class that verbs, unlike nouns, have the S-form of the word for thesingular form and the base form for itsplural form. Please take a look at theexample.

    Example:S-form(singular):Sings, dances, writes, eats

The two basic parts of the sentence are the subjectand predicate.

The subject may be a noun or pronoun; thepredicate may be an adjective but most of thetime it is a verb.

The subject is the one being talked about while thepredicate tells the action of the subject or actiongiven to the subject.

(The students will write their answers on a halfpad paper for two minutes)
