Dr. Hans Peter Schlegelmilch
imat-uve group gmbh
Hans Peter Schlegelmilch graduated in chemistry and earned his PhD
from the University Duisburg. In 1994, he was co-founder of the imat-
uve group, where he is currently in charge of the general management.
He has been responsible to build up the emission centre of competence
at imat-uve from the middle of the 1990s. Today this competence covers
nearly all test methods from the material specimen size, component and
part testing up to assessment of the complete car regarding emissions
and odour. He is co-inventor of several international patents and
member of the scientific board of the international odour & emission
workshop at the University in Kassel (Germany).
Dr. Michael Holzwarth
imat-uve gmbh, Stuttgart branch
Michael Holzwarth graduated in chemistry at the Technical University of
Darmstadt (Germany). After that, he earned his PhD at the University of
Hamburg before joining imat-uve in 2005. In his first three years he
worked at the department of test coordination, where he quickly turned
to imat-uve’s leading contact for emissions. In 2008, he consequently
changed to the laboratory management with responsibility for the
chamber emissions laboratory in Stuttgart and in 2012, he additionally
took over the management of imat-uve’s branches in Stuttgart and
Heimsheim. Since 2015, he became the laboratory director of Stuttgart
branch and dep. laboratory director of Heimsheim branch and China.
Dr. Dieter Holtkamp
Holtkamp Air Quality Improvement
Dieter Holtkamp graduated in physics and earned his PhD from the
University of Münster (Germany). He joined Bayer AG in 1986 and
worked in various business units for more than 25 years. Since 2000 he
was responsible for polyurethanes materials & parts testing, including
emissions & odour testing of foams, plastics and coatings, at Bayer
Material Science in Leverkusen (Germany). In 2013, he founded
Holtkamp Air Quality Improvement providing consultancy and project
support in materials emissions & odour optimisation. He is an active
collaborator in both the German mirror group on the ISO 12219 series
“Interior Air of Road Vehicles”, and in the working group “Interior air
emissions” at VDA (German Association of the Automotive Industry).

Li Feng
Shanghai Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd.
Feng Li graduated with a bachelor degree in chemical engineering and
process at the Jilin University (China). She built up and overall lead
emission and odour team in Shanghai-VW (SVW) and she is responsible
for interior smell and emission releasing and optimisation. Furthermore
she formulated the SVW internal emission norm and established parts’
supplier management process of emission behaviour. Also she lead
odour customer satisfaction team, define and implement interior odour
target and improvement countermeasures of SVW and solve customer
smell complain problems. She researched vehicle emission and odour
behaviour in various working conditions and environments.
Xuefeng Liu
China Automotive Technology & Research Center
Xuefeng Liu graduated with a master degree in automobile utilisation
engineering from Jilin University (China). In his current position, he is
the VOC project manager of Automotive Data Centre, CATARC. So far, he
had edited 3 scientific reports, 6 participation, 4 patents and wrote
more than 10 papers. Mr Liu has been long engaged in interior VOC
management and policy research, interior VOC technology to enhance
research. Further he is responsible for interior VOC information
management and supply chain management, etc.
Dr. Roland Freudenmann
Benecke-Kaliko AG
Roland Freudenmann graduated and earned his PhD in chemistry at
Tübingen University (Germany). He started his career at Benecke-Kaliko
AG in 2000 as head of the chemical laboratory. In 2003 he also became
responsible for quality management of suppliers and in 2008 he got in
charge of the advanced development of PVC and PUR material. In his
current position, he is since 2012 the global director laboratories at
Benecke-Kaliko business unit with head quarter in Hannover (Germany).
Jim Zhiqiang Gu
Benecke Changshun Auto Trim (Zhangjiagang) Co., Ltd.
Jim Gu graduated in chemical engineering and technology at the Nanjing
University of Technology (China) in 2004. He joined Solutia auto trim
film Co., Ltd. as the head of customer service laboratory in 2007. In
2011 he became head of laboratory and quality engineer at Velcro
Fastening Systems Co., Ltd. Since 2012 he took over the responsibility
as the head of laboratory of Benecke Changshun Auto Trim
(Zhangjiagang) Co., Ltd.

Junxian Li
BAIC Motor Corporation Ltd.
Junxian Li graduated and earned his master degree at the Yanshan
University (China) in 2009. He joined Zhejiang Geely as leader of the
comprehensive performance development team at its Automotive
Research Institute of Material Science and was responsible for the
interior air quality (VOC and odour) control systems. In 2011, he became
chief of the technical material centre for interior air quality performance
at Great Wall Motors. Since 2014, he is VOC system integration engineer
at BAIC Motor Corporation research institute and is responsible for the
interior air quality control. In 2013, he was awarded as “Person of
national outstanding contribution to automotive interior environment
pollution control”.
Anna-Maria Krassa
BMW AG
Anna-Maria Krassa graduated from Technical University of Nuremberg
(Germany) in 2014 with an engineering and master degree in applied
chemistry. In the same year she joined the department for product
sustainability at BMW. She is the responsible engineer for Evaporative
Emissions and Indoor Air Quality in small and midsized cars with the
focus on emissions and odour. This includes the evaluation of materials
and parts, as well as the assessment of the complete vehicle.
Xueni Qin
BMW China Services, Ltd.
Xueni Qin graduated in non-metal material engineering at the Jilin
University (China) in 2009 and earned her master degree of material
science at Shanghai Jiaotong University (China) in 2012. In the same
year, she joined BMW China as material engineer and is responsible on
the plastic material technical investigation including HC-emission test
on thermoplastic material an interior parts as well as test facility and
services provider qualification in China.
Simon Rützel-Grünberg
Olfasense GmbH
Simon Rützel-Grünberg received his state examination in law from the
University of Kiel. From 2001 to 2008, he was a managing shareholder
at ecoma GmbH and almost at the same time, from 2001 to 2010 a co-
founder and managing shareholder at OLFAtec GmbH. In 2010, he
became the director of Odournet GmbH until 2014 when he took over
the responsibility as the CEO of the Odournet Holding B.V. From 2010 to
2015, he was member of board of directors Odournet Holding B.V. With
the spin-off from Odournet Group he took role as General Manager in
the Olfasense Holding B.V. in the Netherlands and as Business
Development Director in Olfasense GmbH in Germany.

Chery Jaguar Land Rover Automotive Co., Ltd.
Lingwen Kong is working as materials engineer for Chery Jaguar Land
Rover joint venture. He looks after both interior and exterior materials
localisation for joint venture projects and support production
development issues. He is specialised in locating and validating root
cause for engineering problems.
Chris Chaoqun Dong
Ford Motor Research & Engineering (Nanjing) Co., Ltd
Chaoqun Dong graduated in polymer materials at Nanjing University of
Science and Technology (China) in 2012 and earned his master degree
of material science and engineering at Nanjing University (China) in
2015. In the same year, he joined Ford Motor Research & Engineering
(Nanjing) Co., Ltd as interior materials engineer. Now he is responsible
for approval and management of auto resin materials and participant
establishing standards for interior odor and VOC at material level.
