Inspects aircraft final and sub-assemblies in all stages of production. Determines disposition at production and quality levels of non-conforming items on material review board (MRB) and keeps records of all non-conformance reports. Uses calibrated test and measuring equipment to inspect components and ensure compliance with specifications called out on blueprints.

U.S. Army 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (A) (July 2007 – March 2016)

Aircraft Quality Control Inspector Oct 2012- March 2016

Inspects components, assemblies and sub-assemblies for conformance with manufacturers work instructions, engineer drawings and evaluates for proper fit, form and function. Uses calibrated test equipment such as micrometers, depth gauges and Vernier calipers to determine compliance to GD&T requirements. Maintains aircraft maintenance records. Ensures fleet wide compliance with airworthiness directives and component life-cycle requirements.

Inspects and accepts / rejects maintenance performed by 366 employees on 17 highly modified MH-47G helicopters valued in excess of $64M each

Trains, certifies and supervises 2-3 incoming inspectors per year on 64 essential quality control tasks and functions to include use of calibrated test and measuring equipment, proper fit form and function of installed components and documentation and tracking of finite life components

Coordinates with engineers and original equipment manufacturer for authorizations of non-standard repairs, saving the taxpayers an average of $2M per year

Inspects and accepts work of 53 contractors on behalf of the U.S. Government and manages the Quality Assurance Surveillance Program

Inspects manufactured components and assemblies for conformance to technical standards; submits Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs) for appropriate corrective actions

Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor June 2010 – Oct 2012

Performs duties of a Maintenance Technician (described below) and provides technical guidance to team members. Performs operational checks and scheduled inspections. Diagnoses and troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft subsystems. Accountable for quality and inspects work performed by teams of floor and field technicians. Sets priorities for maintenance, allocates manpower and directs employees to expedite aircraft maintenance in the most efficient means possible

Trains, mentors, coaches and certifies 13 subordinate employees in all aspects of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance for the MH-47G Chinook helicopter.

Directed maintenance for a fleet of 12 aircraft, supervising 23 employees to complete 323 scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events, enabling 243 combat sorties totaling 2187 flight hours.

Managed long-term heavy maintenance inspections, coordinating 12-15 subordinate employees and 9 external specialty organizations. Met all required time constraints by 10% or better.

Aviation Maintenance Technician July 2007 – June 2010

Removes and installs aircraft subsystem assemblies such as engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions, mechanical flight controls and their components. Services and lubricates aircraft and subsystems. Prepares aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks. Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Prepares forms and records related to aircraft maintenance.

Performed more than 2,500 man hours of maintenance and inspections on the MH-47G helicopter, including major modifications, repairs, troubleshooting, and inspections.

Took action with minimal guidance over the course of 3 fast paced overseas short-tours, keeping fleet of 4 aircraft fully mission capable and airworthy for over 90 days.
