Dalian Baoyuan Nuclear Equipment Co., Ltd. (DBNE) was known prior to 1999

as State-owned 523 Factory of Ministry of Nuclear Industry (China National

Nuclear Corporation). Since its founding in 1947, the Company has made great

contributions to the development of China’s nuclear industry, construction of

nuclear power stations and petroleum and petrochemical industries.

DBNE is a comprehensive enterprise engaged in research, design, and

manufacturing of pressure vessels, civilian use nuclear pressure equipment and

general machinery.

DBNE workshops cover a total area of 100,000 square meters housing over

1,100 pieces of processing equipment and employ over 700 professionals.

DBNE owns two facilities within the city of Dalian, the largest port city in

Northeast China.

The old plant is situated on an area of 1.2 million square meters with a dedicated

railway line to a 5,000 DWT cargo dock, enabling port-to-port obstruction-free

transportation of large and over-limit equipment.

The new plant is in the Dalian Bonded Area, north of Dalian Port and south of

the railway junction, covering about 100,000 square meters.

R&D Center and vice-presidential unit of China Chemical Industrial Equipment

All nuclear power stations in China use products manufactured by DBNE

DBNE is the only domestic manufacturer of spent fuel rack, personnel airlock and

mechanical penetrator

At the beginning of 1990s, DBNE acquired two domestic patents in manufacturing

of spent fuel rack, and provided the first airlock of China-made equipment for

Valve SeriesPlate gate valve is new product made by DBNE in valve

series. This valve needs only small opening and closing

torque and has unclogged pipes. It is especially suitable for

situation of automatic operation where pipes need be

cleaned periodically.

Additionally, DBNE can manufacture regular valves such

as common gate valves and electric gate valves.



As the only domestic manufacturer of spent fuel rack and one of the

manufacturers of air lock, penetration, pressure vessels and other indispensable

equipment, DBNE will greatly benefit from China’s national policies for

developing nuclear power and petrochemical industries.

National support of nuclear power development will benefit DBNE which

occupies a solid share in the market of nuclear equipment.

DBNE’s new plant will be in full operation in 2011. Capacity will reach a top domestic level of:◦ 40,000 m2 modern heavy workshop◦ more than 5,000 m2 cleaning workshop and NDT workshop◦ 20,000 m2 production workshop for oil field drilling and production

equipment.

The increase in production capacity will bring good development prospects for DBNE.◦ From 2012, DBNE’s annual growth rate is set to exceed 20%.

DBNE’s new plant floor space and building area are respectively 72,000m2

and 40,800m2. It has 36-meter span for main workshops and two 150-model

cranes in hoisting capacity, as well as more than 60 pieces of large-size

processing equipment.

Overview of New Plant



In the R&D of nuclear power products, the DBNE constantly seeks to strengthen technical

cooperation with the relevant research institutes, and successfully finish R&D of multiple

products, including electrical penetration, spent fuel shipping flask and element shearer. In the

R&D of pumping units, DBNE is also cooperating with petroleum institutes in product R&D.

In 2009, DBNE established a strategic partnership with China Nuclear Power Engineering Co.,

Ltd.. Taking this opportunity, DBNE incorporated AP1000 non-active PWR third-generation

nuclear power technology to promote the domestic production of relevant equipment.

DBNE has broad exchanges and business negotiations with internationally famous manufacturers

of nuclear power products, such as DCNS and HOLTEC.
