2. PERSONAL PROFILE

I am a person with strong moral principles and always act with honesty and integrity, ignoring

peer pressure. I am hardworking and apply full commitment to anything I take on. I am willing

to take on responsibility. I can take the lead (particularly in work situations), but am also a

motivated team member. This is thanks to well-developed listening skills and growing up as

the eldest also helped to install this quality. I believe in contributing to a positive and uplifting

work environment for my co-workers. I have a strong academic record and have gained some

experience from vacation work.

I can quickly adapt to unfamiliar problems thanks to quick learning skills. I am keen to continue

learning in various fields. IT-competence is one of my strong points as I continuously try to

expand my knowledge in this area. I can bring innovation as well as sensible judgment to a

problem to solve it effectively. I am part of a multinational church and display respect and

understanding towards different backgrounds.

My aim for my career is to find innovative solutions to whatever problem is presented to me

and to find joy in a job well done. I want to be able to truthfully say that I have made a positive

contribution to the success of a project or the company. I want to know that I have treated my

5.1 CULTURE – Public speaking, Bible questionnaire and poem recital in primary school.

5.2 SPORT – Athletics, chess, cross-country & tennis. I did these sports at various

opportunities throughout my school career and learned dedication from it.

5.3 LEADERSHIP – Part of the student council for Hoërskool Driehoek. Being part of the

student council taught me how to plan and manage different situations. I was the project

manager for our community project in the first year and learnt considerable leadership- and

management skills.

During my time at Omnia, I learned valuable skills at both a technical and non-technical level.

I gained insight into plant operating procedures, the different equipment and processes used

and how problems are solved at an industrial scale. Attached (p. 8) are remarks from Me

Naidoo, commenting on the work I did in December 2015 – January 2016 (on behalf of Saahir

Masthan – plant manager).
