My versatile educational and professional background gave me the chance to learnfrom and work side by side with some of the leading professors and researchersin the area of Multiple Antenna Systems. I have strong knowledge in the area ofantenna design and implementation, signal processing, radiation and propagationof electromagnetic waves, statistical analysis, etc. Moreover, I had the chance towork in an international environment which taught me the importance of strongrelationships and how to build them - a great skill when working with customersand team-based environment. I have experience in team working and problemsolving and knowledge of the latest communication and antenna systems. I havewell developed abilities to prioritize, schedule, and execute activities to efficientlyaccomplish tasks, and to multitask and manage more than one project at a time.In my group I was known as a person with organization skills and one who you candepend on.
Ghent University, Department of Information Technology, Ghent, BelgiumProfessionalExperience
Researcher in the area of Antennas and Propagation for Wireless Body AreaNetworks October 2012 March 2015
My responsibilities included but were not limited to design and implementa-tion of wearable antenna systems, how their performance is affected by theproximity of the human body, signal propagation in different environments andmeasurement data processing. Furthermore, it included the organization andperformance of multiple measurement campaigns in indoor environments andanechoic chambers. My work included simulations using different computerprograms such as CST, SEMCAD X, ADS, etc. and programming in MATLABin the area of linear algebra, Fourier transforms, nonlinear numerical methods, polynomials, statistics, etc.

Diversity Performance of Off-Body MB-OFDM UWB MIMO Published:IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation(Volume 63, Issue 7, pages 3187-3197)
The aim of this paper was to present a method for determining the min-imum required number of UWB antennas for off-body MB-OFDM UWBMIMO communication and their optimal position on the body, necessary toprovide a reliable diversity antenna system operating in the FCC (FederalCommunications Commission) band between 3.1 and 10.6 GHz. Their opti-mal positions on the body are determined through simulations and validatedby measurements.

The aim of this paper was to compare the performance of a 2x4 MIMOoff-body system, operating at 3.6 GHz with 200 MHz of bandwidth in LoSenvironment, employing three different types of wearable antennas. Theanalysis was based on measurement data acquired during a measurementcampaign that took place in 2014 at UCL - Leuven La Neuve. Furthermore, the aim was to investigate how the same system performs in NLoS condi-tions. The comparison was based on different channel parameters, such ascorrelation, branch power ratio, capacity, etc.

Thesis Topic: Antenna Performance Evaluation through Capacity: Measure-ment based AnalysisSupervisors: Boyan Yanakiev, Gert Pedersen, Morten Christensen
The project is part of the AAU/Molex contribution to the Converged Ad-vanced Mobile Media Platform (CAMMP) project.
The purpose of this project was to compare different MIMO antenna systemsfor 4G mobile communication systems, evaluating them through capacity. For the purpose was used the measurement data from a 2009 measurementcampaign carried out in downtown Aalborg. Several MATLAB codes werewritten for calculating different antenna parameters, such as correlation co-efficient, channel gain, branch power ratio, capacity, etc. The received re-sults are statistically analyzed and used for comparing the different MIMOsystems and for investigating how the different antenna parameters influencethe capacity.

Other projects:1. Antennas for the Fourth Generation (4G) Mobile Communication Sys-
tems: Performance Evaluation through CapacitySupervisors: Boyan Yanakiev, Gert Pedersen, Morten Christensen
The purpose of this project was to compare different simulated MIMOantenna systems and evaluating them through capacity. For this pur-pose different antenna designs were simulated, build and measured. AMATLAB code was written which simulates different fading channels(Rayleigh, Rician). Using the results for the fading channels and theradiation patterns of the simulated antennas, the SNR and the capacitywas calculated. The capacity was also calculated for the build antennasand the results for both cases were analyzed and compared.
2. Using Antenna Diversity for Minimizing Fading Effects for MaritimeSatellite SystemsSupervisor: Patrik Eggers
The purpose of this project was to investigate the possibility for re-placing an existing tracking antenna system with a diversity systemwhich uses low gain omnidirectional antennas. The used communica-tion channel has a Rician fading channel. For that type of channel wereproposed two methods for developing a diversity system: Selection Com-bining and Maximum Ratio Combining. MATLAB simulations wereperformed and the results were analyzed. On the basis of the receivedresults, conclusions were drawn.
