Imperial Tobacco Group The Imperial Tobacco Group (ITG) is a British multinational in the tobacco industry with its headquarters in Bristol (UK). It is the fourth largest company based on its market share. In 2013, the Manufacturing department has started the implementation of the middleware platform Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), based on Software AG’s Webmethods. Below are the main projects I have been responsible for as project manager. The aim for ITG’s business project Coding and Tracking is is the delivery of a system for tracking and tracing of tobacco related materials during all production process in order to meet the requirements of the European Commission to fight illegal trade. In this project, the ESB provides connectivity, validation, routing and monitoring of messages related to tracking and tracing. It’s built on event driven architecture. Another project in ITG is the replacement of point to point connections between ERP systems QAD supporting manufacturing processes and SAP, supporting ITG’s financial processes. The project ‘Project Lifecycle Management’ (PLM) delivers a system for the control of the full product life cycle of ITG’s products and its materials from initial product idea, via development, testing to product introduction and phasing out of the product. ESB provides the connectivity between PLM and surrounding systems. Where possible, file based communication is replaced by online, message based interfaces. Activities and results:

Cooperating with various ITG departments to assure the organization for delivery of projects.

Introducing of scrum ‘way of working’, including tooling (Gemini) and JIRA.

Defining user stories with the business / product owners for execution by the scrum team

Enterprise Application Integration KPN EAI is part of Enterprise Management within KPN’s IT organization (ITNL). KPN EAI is responsible for the realization and delivery of services to fixed and mobile network businesses using service oriented architecture (SOA). KPN EAI has about 50 employees consisting of business analysts, architects, designers, testers and functional administrators and project managers. System integration projects are executed using the TIBCO software platform based on assignments from KPN business segments consumer, business and wholesale market. Building and system testing is outsourced to an external supplier in India. Activities and results:

Euromax Automated terminal Frog Navigation Systems B.V. is an internationally operating Dutch company, delivering automated transport systems based on the concept of Free Ranging On Grid (FROG). These systems are being used in production processes in high tech industry, automated transshipments of sea containers and unmanned human transportation. ECT (Europe Container Terminals) runs the Euromax project and FROG is part of a consortium which also consists of Embarcadero System Corporation (United States) and Total Software Bank LTD (South Korea). In the Euromax project, the consortium is responsible to deliver an automated container terminal management system. FROG’s assignment consists of the realization of a terminal operating system that controls automated transport vehicles and container cranes. It’s a fixed price project and payment to consortium members is done per successfully delivered release. Activities and results:
