医療事故防止は一刻の猶予も許されません。当社では厚生

労働省から発令された関連通達を完全実施。多くの安全対策

と環境整備、流通製品の規格設定を行ってきました。

お客様に安心をお届けする為、2005年4月1日から施行

された改正薬事法を遵守し、お客様に製品を届けるだけでな

く使用される製品の製造履歴まで厳密に管理しています。

There is no margin for error when it comes to safety in health care. Hogy has acted without

fail on all instructions from MHLW: a large number of safety measures, environmental mea-

sures and product standards that have been determined by the Ministry.

In order to re-assure the customers of safety measures, Hogy has not only followed the

Revised Pharmaceutical safety law enforced from April 1, 2005 in the delivery of products but

also strictly managed the past records of its products.

The Tsukuba plant aims both at a high level of safety and reliability and

at zero customer complaints through full automation with shipping with-

in four days of ordering so reducing hospital kit stocks. The already fully

automated sterilization center and distribution depot have been con-

nected to the new plant to create an integrated production and shipping

line.

ホギメディカルは、国内では徹底した機械化による生産ラ

インを確立。筑波工場には世界最大級の電子滅菌設備と、そ

れに連動する全自動物流設備を保有。2003年5月にはキッ

ト製品を中心とした自動生産工場を稼動させ、さらに2005

年11月に「オペラマスター」専用ラインを、2006年6月

には新配送センターも稼動させました。

一方、労働集約的な生産工程はインドネシアの現地子会社

「P.T.ホギインドネシア」に移管しています。これらの国内

外の生産ラインを有機的に連動させ、安全な製品の迅速かつ

安定的な供給に努めています。2007年7月にP.T.ニットウ

マテックスインドネシア（現P.T.ホギ）を孫会社化しており

ます。

Hogy has transferred all labor intensive production processes to the

Indonesian subsidiary, P.T. Hogy Indonesia., which has acquired all

shares of P.T. Nitto Matex Indonesia (presently P. T. HOGY) through a

buy out in June 2007. Meanwhile, the domestic production processes

remaining in Japan have been subject to the highest level of automa-

tion possible. The Tsukuba Plant has the world’s largest electron beam

sterilization unit and immediately connected is a fully automated distri-

bution depot. Also on the site is a fully automated medical kit manufac-

turing plant that has come on stream in May 2003. Furthermore, in

November 2005, “Opera Master” production line, and in June 2006,

new distribution center commenced their operations. This means that

production, sterilization and shipping can occur on a completely inte-

grated basis so honoring the continuing commitment to the fast and

assured supply of safe products and so ensuring the safety and lives of

patients and medical staff.

1964年のメッキンバッグ開発。これが、院内感染防止

を目指すホギメディカルの取り組みのスタートであり、その

後のソンタラシリーズ、キット製品の実現へとつながって

います。

医療現場のスタッフの視点に立つこと、私たちの研究開

The start of Hogy Medical’s efforts to prevent hospital infection was

the Mekkin Bag introduced in 1964, a simple sterilization pouch for

surgical instruments, and this has continued with the Sontara series of

products and the new kit products.

The key thinking of Hogy R&D is to understand the actual day-to-day

requirements of medical professionals. The Mekkin Bag and the

Sontara series have been subject to a continual process of incremen-

tal improvement based on careful study and research of the realities of

the health care arena.

This process is now being pursued with the kit products where their

increasing sophistication means that these products will make major

contributions to the safety and efficiency in the medical setting as they

become of growing importance.

行為が開始可能。準備の手間や時間が大

幅に短縮出来、手術や検査を増加させる

ことも可能となります。医療機関の収益

改善にも寄与できる製品のため、特に手

術が多い高機能病院で導入が進んでおり

ます。

A medical kit contains the disposable medical

supplies required for each type of surgical oper-

ation or clinical test. Once the kit pouch is

opened the medical procedure can be immedi-

ately started so greatly reducing preparation

labor and time and so permitting the medical

staff to perform their professional work unen-

cumbered.

This more efficient use of labor and time

enables the number of operations and clinical

tests undertaken to be increased and so

improve hospital business results. In those hos-

pitals that are centers of excellence and have

particularly high numbers of surgical operations

undertaken, the reduction in workloads, preven-

tion of human errors, prevention of hospital

infections etc have been highlighted since the

commercial launch of the kit product.

2004年4月より販売を開始した「オ

ペラマスター」は、製品・物流・情報管

理システムからなるシステムで、中核を

なすフルキットは、病院の医師・術式別

に対応し、医療現場の効率化・省力化・

手術の安全性向上に寄与するとともに、

単品別の材料の管理を不要とし、病院経

営の効率化に貢献しております。

物流面においては、病院に設置した

専用端末からダイレクトに受注を受け、

4日間で製造し手術の前日に納品してお

り、医療機関の在庫負担軽減に寄与して

おります。

さらに情報面では、手術室の原価管理

の情報等を提供しております。これによ

り複雑な原価計算を容易にするととも

に、手術室の稼働率向上が期待されます。

Opera Master is a product, logistics, and infor-

mation management system marketted since

April 2004. Centered on using full-kit products, it

benefits surgeons because it helps raise effi-

ciency and save labor in the operating room

while boosting the safety of surgical procedures.

Because it eliminates the need to control mate-

rials in single units, Opera Master also con-

tributes to higher hospital operating efficiency.

On the logistics side, as well, Opera Master

enables hospitals to place orders directly to

Hogy from dedicated information terminals, for

delivery on the day before surgery-and ordered

item can be manufactured in as little as four

days. Accordingly, it helps alleviate hospitals’

inventory burdens.

Through Opera Master, moreover, Hogy pro-

vides useful information about controlling costs

in the operating room. As a result, complex cost

accounting is simplified and operating room pro-

ductivity enhanced.

キット製品に関しては、「サーレム戦略」

の基本コンセプトを眼科・放射線科用の

キット製品に展開しております。

With respect to non-woven fabric productsand simple kit products, Hogy Medical willstep up its Surrem strategy, based on theconcept of low price, high function, andhigh quality, in order to accurately addressthe needs of medical institutions.

In the area of non-woven fabric prod-ucts, in 2007 we launched two new prod-ucts —K Gown and BR Drape— both ofwhich have been warmly received bynumerous hospitals. In 2009, we will unveila new line of drapes called Tigalyer.

Regarding simple kit products, in thecurrent fiscal year we have been applyingthe basic concepts of the Surrem strategyto develop kit products for use in hospitalophthalmology and radiology departments.

スの容易な透過性とともに無菌保存のた

めのバリア性という、相反する性質が求

められます。

ホギメディカルでは、この条件に最適

な素材として、独特な微細構造を持つ滅

菌紙を開発。院内感染防止の第一歩とし

て1964年「メッキンバッグ」を発売し、

滅菌に対する高度な性能と利便性により

The material of the Mekkin Bag, sterilization

pouch product, must be open to the sterilizing

steam or gas, while at the same time be capa-

ble of maintaining the contents of the pouch

sterile for long periods of time.

Hogy developed a paper with a special

micro-structure to achieve these diametrically

opposed objectives and launched this in 1964

as the “Mekkin Bag” and a major contribution

to the prevention of hospital infections. The high

sterilization characteristics and the convenience

of use caused demand to rise rapidly. The

Mekkin Bag is presently the recognized name

among sterilization pouch products.

busy operating theaters, a sterile container tray

has been developed.

The container system has been developed

their containers enable further rationalization

based disposable masks and caps as products

supplementary to surgical gowns and drapes.

These supplementary products have expanded

and include sheets, pads, isolation gowns, shoe

covers, etc and now form a wide product series

meeting health care professionals’ constantly

changing requirements. In recent years, the N95

mask has been meeting demand from an array

of fields.

Hogy Medical started its business in the manu-

facturing and sale of recording paper for med-

ical instruments. As a company it remains close

to the frontline of medical requirements and pro-

motes the sophisticated use of medical supplies

and the development and provision of added

functions. Products such as surgical gloves,

skin staplers, suture needle counter etc are all

provided out of a large catalog all in support of

health care.
