2017
• Messages for all ECo-AT Use Cases were sent out on the Parking Lot and in the Living Lab
• OEMs were able to receive, decode and interpret the ECo-AT message set
• Most ECO-AT Use Cases have already been verified by successfully executing ECo-AT Test Cases during Test Cycles
• Infrastructure-based C-ITS messages work for vehicles
– Data content is comprehensible if properly encoded
– Message positioning (points, traces) based on TCC data is accurate enough for vehicles to properly place messages
• Issues were identified and resolved, results were integrated in the next releases
– 15 –
Test Cycle Results
• (Virtual) TC5 includes updated reference message for all ECo-AT use cases – Roadworks Warning (RWW)
– Hazardous Locations / Events (OtherDENM)
– In-Vehicle Information / Signage (IVI)
– Intersection Safety (ISS / SPAT / MAP)
– Co-Existence (CAM Protected Zones)
• Reference message include … – PCAP Capture / Air Dump of the target message
– Visualization of message location (KMZ / Google Earth)
– Source DATEX II data from TCC

ETSI Plugtest Participation
• C-ITS plugtest took place in Livorno (IT) from 7th to 18th November 2016 together with app. 60 C-ITS suppliers
• ECo-AT and its industry partners have been heavily involved in the preparation and execution of the Plugtest and thus have had a major impact on the selection and characteristics of use cases as well as the architecture and interfaces under test.
• The Plugtest consists of ten use cases, which are demonstrated in the port of Livorno and the nearby expressway SGC Firenze-Pisa-Livorno.
• Six of these use cases correspond directly to similar use cases from the ECo-AT project and at least two of them (UC5, UC9) were added after successful specification and tests in ECo-AT

Security & Privacy considerations in Austria
Security:
• In the Eco-AT project phase the German BSI PKI solution will be used
• An Austrian PKI solution might be implemented later on
Privacy:
• Austria relies on the results of the EC recommendations & legal framework conditions Working Group 4 – Privacy Issues
• Still under discussion under which framework conditions C-ITS can be operated e.g. „Vital Interest“, „Public Interest“
• Each framework condition has different implications on the consent of the user to the operation of C-IST
Austria heavily in involved in the discussion of the framework conditions and recommendations via the European C-ITS platform and others.

Status Quo and Next steps
Status Quo / Achievements
‣ C-ITS corridor is recognised as the first implementation of C-ITS activity at least in Europe
‣ Strong liaison to SCOOP, Amsterdam Group and C-ITS deployment platform and C-ROADS
‣ Agreed road infrastructure profile for Day 1 Use Cases and their scenarios among NL/DE/AT
Next steps / Open Issues
‣ Operational aspects of the German PKI solution for the corridor need to be agreed -> First Test Cycles with the security solution in place both in Austria / Vienna as well as in Germany / Hessia in March 2017
‣ Privacy considerations need to be tackled
