CODECO Container gate-in/gate-out report messageComments1. This message is for reporting both empty and full containers moving in and out of marine teminals,container depots, container yards, container pools, equipment repair facilities, rail yards, truckingterminals, etc. It can also be used to report internal terminal container moves, including loading, anddischarge of an inland means of transport such as train, truck and barge, but excluding loading anddischarging of ocean going vessels.

2. Even though the message allows the transmission of more than one container per message, forNorth America (with the exception of the equipment leasing and repair industry) we are recommendingthe sending of one message per container and not the transmission of multiple containers within onemessage.
